Nice villa but cooling problem
• Nicely decorated open floor plan. Light and airy with large windows facing the pool and lush foliage out back. Tons of free TV channels & movies. Located on a quiet street convenient to stores, etc.
• Owner responded to problems in timely fashion, even coming to the house herself and sending in workers.
• House was not ready at check-in time (2pm); cleaner left at 3pm.
• Upon arrival, owner texted “please do not touch” the thermostat and that someone would be coming the next day to work on it. After 3 visits from repair people, there was no resolution, not even a fan.
• House has air flow problem: one side of house stayed too warm/hot while other side stayed too cool/cold.
• Initially unable to turn on kitchen stove due to a pan provided that was not induction-compatible. Owner came and resolved.
• Dishes were left in the dishwasher, including plates with caked-on food that we cleaned since there is a rule that you must clean the dishes (although a cleaning fee was charged). Some pans provided were in bad condition, surfaces peeling off.
• Pool had big pile of debris on bottom when we arrived. Pool maintenance person did come by a few days later and cleaned the pool.
• Owner informed me there was a loose tile beside pool; there were actually three side-by-side.
• No apologies were made and no concessions were offered with regard to the heat problem, or numerous disruptions by the HVAC service people.
