The Happy Hour had great variety and great prices. Corey was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the neighborhood and services available to guests. He gave fantastic recommendations to our family. Guest Services was also ready to accommodate us when we arrived earlier in the day than we anticipated.

Great! But a few things spoil the experience.
The bed closest to the window in our room needs to be replaced/repaired because it slopes to one side. The pillows were terrible and lumpy, they need to be replaced. All the other hotels have a large body lotion bottle, but Sonesta has a tiny little sample bottle, that's just being cheap! So, these few things spoil what is otherwise a great place.

Housekeeping was by request only. We were not informed of that. It was in very small print on the card in the room. When we called to ask for room service, we were told that if we did not requested by noon, we could not get it that day. So we had no clean towels for that night.

Had a great experience at the Sonesta. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and you can tell they take pride in keeping it that way. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Everything was great, we had an issue with an extremely loud neighbor that actually beat her daughter and we contacted the front desk to call the police. We also have a recording of the women trying to manipulate the daughter into saying is was the dad!! It cost us sleep and stress because of her abuse towards her daughter. The hotel didn’t offer to move us or any discount on our stay. I pray for the daughter. It sounds like the kids are caught in the middle. She should have been arrested! The Valet guys were awesome. Again not sure why we weren’t contacted by management. I would recommend the hotel a one minute walk to the beach. They do charge extra fees for valet and beach chairs and such.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. They definitely need to update the pictures that they have on the website. I felt the place was a little on the rundown side. It was not the cleanest place that I’ve stayed at. When I voiced my concerns I felt like no one was really trying to help make this situation any better. The only thing that I will say is that the restaurant was clean and the food was good there

So close to being a 5-star property, they fell short in a few areas however. The hotel public spaces are nice, but the entire building is a narrow semi-circle so there is nothing on the back side except a concrete wall. The area around the back of the hotel is a little sketchy. The staff were warm and welcoming and were very helpful answering questions. However, explanations of amenities is given verbally and apparently we weren't given all the details. The Room: As the hotel is a semi-circle, all rooms have an ocean view. So the view is excellent from anywhere. The lower floors say 2-5 will have more street noise and perhaps be partially obstructed by wires or street lights. Our room on the 9th floor was really big, but was a little dirty when we checked in. There were scraps of napkin under the desk and pee stains under the toilet seat. There is also a window between the bathroom and the bedroom (why?) which makes it difficult to use the bathroom at night. The hotel has dedicated beach chairs and towels for the beach but umbrella rental is $30/day. Must bring cash to the beach as they won't allow charging to the room. So it is a decent second-tier option right now. I hope they can improve some policies and procedures.

This was my second time staying at the So eats but it will definitely be my last. My daughters and I decided to stay here for our annual beach trip. Being as though I’ve stayed here in the past, I thought it would be all good. It wasn’t. From the moment, I checked in it was a mess. At check in the incidental charge is $100 per night plus the resort fee. I called prior to confirm these fees and was told the RESORT fee was the only charge PER night. Gratefully, I always have extra money when traveling. Strike 1. Then we get to the room and the thermostat was on 77 degrees. We tried to change it but it didn’t work. We called front desk. Maintenance came and fixed it. We then go to take a shower and towels was in the bathroom no wash clothes. Went to use the bath gel in the shower-totally empty. Fast forward to night time when ready to go to bed and the thermostat is in the 70’s again. After several times of this, we met Terrance. Hi 5 to him! He took the ceiling down, cleaned out the area in thermostat and the air worked properly for the rest of our stay. We requested housekeeping and someone from the front desk didn’t relay the message to them so we didn’t have our room clean as expected. The last two days we was there housekeeping cleaned it. We did receive free breakfast and water along with two night resort fees (promised not received yet) as service recovery but they was the high light of the trip. Me and my family will not be staying here again.

Beautiful location across from the beach! Parking is very expensive and you have to use valet. Several restaurants nearby. Maid service is not very good.

All the staff is super friendly and helpful. Only wish the parking was a little cheaper. Clean rooms. Perfect location for the beach. Wish the beach umbrella was included with the chairs. between the parking and the umbrella, it is almost an extra $100 a day to add to a stay. There is not much in walking distance, hopefully that will change soon.
