Dear Margaritaville Team, I stayed at your resort from December 2–6 and was disappointed with the experience. Before booking, I confirmed that the resort was fully operational after the recent hurricane, including beach access. However, the beach was inaccessible due to construction, forcing us to use public access. Beach chairs and umbrellas, advertised as included in the resort fee, were only available for rent at $60 per day. Additionally, the beach was in poor condition, with muddy, unstable sand. An unexpected $100 daily holding fee, in addition to the $154 resort fee, was not disclosed before arrival. This created unnecessary stress, as I was only informed during check-in that unused funds would be refunded. The most concerning issue arose on the second day when we were notified of water maintenance. Later, we discovered the refill station and fountains were unsafe to use, but the only indication was an “Out of Order” sign. A staff member later warned us about potential health risks after we had been drinking the water all day. This lack of communication was alarming and was dangerous. By the fourth day, my boyfriend and I fell ill with severe diarrhea and nausea, severely impacting the rest of our stay. When checking out, my concerns were dismissed, and staff vaguely mentioned an island-wide boil advisory without addressing our issues. Given the premium rates, the lack of transparency, misrepresentation of amenities I will not recommend this resort.

What deposit?
Over billing machine. Watch your wallet and watch your credit card. Any deposits you pay go into an abyss and they don’t apply them. I’ve been trying to get credits back for a week and they don’t follow through

Very clean, kind and helpful staff. Great amenities. Gym is very nice. Great pool area and beach access. Parking (valet) on high side. Food/bev a bit high for pub style food. Fairly noisy in evening. Beds are pretty firm if you like that. Overall, even with that said, would stay again due to location and access.

Really enjoyed our stay! Helpful staff, really nice pool, and reasonably priced drinks. Valet was 45$ with a tip but they were fast and friendly. The only thing I would do next time is ask for a room with a patio not near the restaurant. It was convenient location wise but we didn’t use the space because it was 5 feet away from a busy restaurant with people eating lunch and dinner. The balconies of the rooms on the second floor overlooking the terrace seemed nicer and more personal. Looking forward to going back in the future!

What would Jimmy Buffet think?
Rooms are clean and large but lack storage. Power receptacles located in the headboard are not connected to electricity. The pool, which was the draw, is pretty much off limits to hotel guests. It seems it was created to grab money from the general public who visit Fort Myers beach. Parking is $35 per day while across the street public parking is $20 per day. I wonder how Jimmy Buffet would feel about this. I will not be coming back.
