Hurricane damage
We looked at property prior to staying as this was our second stop in the area. Heading to the place was nothing but construction (very depressing for a vacation) and the condo had construction as well. We talked to guests that were staying and they were not happy campers. We decided not to stay and take the chance on losing our fees. Prior to heading down to Florida I tried to get Vacasa to put me in touch with someone on site but all they would do is send a report from the local manager which stated "hurricane damage and some amenities may not be available, whatever that means. Since that time I have tried to discuss Vacasa's horrible communication skills. I have tried to get in touch with someone several times and I got as far as the district manager who couldn't help me but was going to have her boss call me and guess what, never called! I know their cancellation policy but, they withheld information from me that would have allowed me to cancel my reservation within the time frame of a full refund! In my opinion I would not trust Vacasa and their customer service again! I do feel sorry for the places that had damage, but you don't fill rooms at full price by hiding information and ruining someone else's vacation!
Vacasa has terrible customer service as they did not allow me to talk to someone on site about the damage prior to going for me to make a decision to go or not and secondly they never let you talk to the person who can actually make a decision on your issues!
