I used to love Hotel Effie under the previous ownership because the hotel used to offer special welcome cookies and whatnot. It felt for inviting, now it legit just feels like a business. I don’t like the fact that the rooms have no microwave which I feel like could be rather essential.

I wish I knew the employees name, but upon arrival, I inquired about their complimentary cookies. The lady said they’re almost ready and a few minutes later, as I was sitting down in the lounge area, she had boxed up some cookies for me. I was truly impressed. The restaurant there had amazing service and food. This was a great getaway to celebrate my birthday. The room was great and I’ll be returning to hotel Effie!! I stumbled across this place from a TikTok someone posted.

Parking = BOO. Hotel = YAY!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 2 nights. The only complaint we would have is the larking situation. We did not valet park because we wanted to easily access our vehicle. If you do not valet, there are very few spots for "self parking" which requires you walk from a dirt parking lot down the road. And to still be charged $25/night to park in a dirt lot is a bit ridiculous. Other than parking, the room and staff were fabulous.

Room and facilities were clean with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Overall stay was great. Only negative would be the self parking spots were full on a busy Saturday Labor Day weekend. May need to consider other overflow parking considerations for busy weekends. This gotel was a great stay!
