Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
My husband and I traveled to Fort Worth this past weekend and stayed one night at Holiday Inn Express. Upon our arrival , we saw there was construction being done. As we walked towards the back of the hotel where the temporary entrance was, we were stopped by a homeless man who informed us where the entrance was and said since he lives in the parking lot- he sees alot of people going in. We arrived around 430pm so the construction crew was done for the day. There was broken glass everywhere and lots of debris. There were pallets stacked on top of the storage containers and nothing was marked off or had any sort of caution tape or marking for guests protection. Upon entering the hotel- we stopped at the table for check in. The woman working was rude and very unwelcoming. Her tone and sarcasm were disgraceful and unprofessional. For someone working in customer service, she needs serious training on dealing with people. Every response was as if she was annoyed by us. When we got to our room - we noticed the air was not coming out cold. We figured maybe it was due to the construction since the whole property seemed musty and had a mildew smell. Since it was only one night, we dealt with it. Later that evening we went out for dinner and again saw the homeless population in the parking lot. Very unsafe conditions
