Mansion in Fournès with Private Pool

Come and discover this beautiful 18th-century holiday home with private pool, nestling in the peace and quiet of a pretty village on the outskirts of Nîmes, in the Gard department. Elegantly renovated, it boasts a pretty garden, cosy rooms and refined decor to provide you with a perfect, intimate setting for a successful holiday.

The grounds (800 m²) are enclosed by a high wall, where children can play in peace and quiet. The private swimming pool has a Roman staircase and adjoins a furnished terrace shaded by a pergola. The interior is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bedrooms have fans.

The daily shopping, fresh croissants and baguettes are all within walking distance. You'll be on the edge of Fournès, a village on the Causses, rich in historic heritage, with its old centre and churches. From the Grand Rue car park, take the Sentier des Fosses for a beautiful 6km walk lined with oak trees, lavender and rosemary. This is a paradise for gourmets, wine-lovers, hikers, cyclists, swimmers, canoeists and rock-climbers.

Fancy a day out by car? There's plenty to do in the surrounding area: Fournès is 9 km from the Pont du Gard, 14 km from the Gorges du Gardon, 20 km from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and Avignon, and 21 km from the magnificent medieval town of Uzès, or Tarascon with its castle on the Rhône. And all within a 30 km radius!

Head south through the wild Camargue to the Mediterranean and its beaches, just an hour away by motorway.

Schönes Haus mit tollem Garten
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Toller Pool und wunderschöner Garten. Das Haus ist großzügig geschnitten und bietet ausreichend Platz für 9 Personen. Für das Frühstück können in Fournes Baguette und Croissants bei Pablo bestellt werden. Für weitere Lebensmittel muss man nach Remoulin fahren. Die Umgebung bietet viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

Belle maison provençale, idéale pour les vacances
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. La piscine est top et la terrasse très agréable à l’ombre des vignes. Chaque membre de notre groupe de 9 (4 adultes et 5 enfants) y a trouvé son espace.

Une semaine de vacances (2 familles avec enfants)
La maison est grande et avec des pièces spacieuses. Le village de Fournès est idéalement situé, à proximité d'Avignon et offrant un accès facile à un vaste choix d'activités et de visites dans la région. La propriété est fonctionnelle, en (très) bon état et bien équipée, rien n'est venu à manquer durant le séjour. Le 2ème étage de la maison n'est pas accessible et est transformé en un appartement (accès séparé). Lorsqu'il est occupé, ça n'est en rien gênant. Un point d'amélioration serait une bâche pour la piscine afin d'augmenter sensiblement sa température.
