Very unpleasant Stay:
booked a standard double room (Queen bed) but was assigned to an irregular shaped room at the very end of corridor by a careless and "couldn't be bothered" manager, who gave a two-single-bed room at the beginning and was reluctant to correct. When I finally got him to switch to a queen bed room, I noticed width of the room is less than two meters, so the end of the bed is touching the other side of the wall. It was tight and suffocating as hell. I asked the front desk to switch me to a "regular" room. "No, unless you want to pay extra 20 Euro for an upgrade", says clerk after checking with her manager. When I showed the standard room picture as posted in Expedia, which is day and night different than the room I had, the lady told me I would have get a better room if I had booked direct with hotel, instead of using Expedia. What a nasty bait and switch! After half hour back and forth arguing and me talking to hotel manager over the phone, they agreed they will move me to a new room in the afternoon.
But they lied: when I returned to hotel at 10pm, the new front desk told me the manager told him they can't move me. After insisting to speak to manager to resolve this, I was told I need to pay $20 Euro to switch because cleaning my current room will cost them.
It was frustrating dealing with manager/staff lacking of minimum care of customer. The front desk guy even told me never book this hotel after this stay....
