After waiting all day for them to service the room I went downstairs to report that the service people had left the floor. When I said my room was not serviced, they said that they didn’t service the room because I didn’t order it by scanning a sign downstairs., and they were quite short about it. So I asked for clean towels which they said would they would deliver to my room. How was I to know that I had to order room cleaning. It would have been nice to have been informed because I am 75 years old and have never been asked to scan something so that they would service the room. Never again Scandic.

The hotel is absolutely okay for a few nights. Easy to reach on foot from the train station. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast! There really is everything you could wish for. You can bake waffles, make smoothies from fresh fruit and vegetables and there's a great selection of other things too. There is also an extra corner with gluten-free and lactose-free products.

In general it is a good hotel. My objection is the way temperature is regulated. The hotel temperature is rather cold, especially in the breakfast room. The temperature in the rooms could be a bit higher. There was a coffee machine in the room,tea,coffee. refrigerator. The area is now somewhat lonely because the hotel across the street is closed and there used to be much movement there. The hotel is accessible to the old part of town, one can walk anywhere.

The city view room in this hotel has amazing views of the Frankfurt city skyline and was a great spot to watch fireworks from. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good as well. The only trouble we had during our stay was that the rooms (and hallways) higher up in the hotel get very warm, leading us to open windows during winter time.

Scandic Frankfurt Museumsuf Hotel Is a Good Choice
My second stay at a Scandic hotel (first was in Berlin). Very modern facilities with nice amenities. Scandic Frankfurt is only a 6 minute walk from the bahn hof and also a short walk across a bridge over the Main River to the Städel Museum, one of Germany’s finest art museums.
