THE CABIN
Freshly appointed cabin, centrally located between Highlands/Franklin/Lake Glenville in the Nantahala National Forest of North Carolina. Nestled on over an acre of wooded, mountainous terrain - allowing for maximum privacy and seclusion, yet still only minutes to town and countless outdoor adventures.
Soaring tongue-and-groove, exposed log-beam vaulted ceilings welcome you as you enter the main living space off the covered deck. The fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and main living spaces all flow together for a roomy, light and open floor plan. Big 55” LED TV for viewing your favorite shows/movies. The large wood-burning fireplace is a definite focal point and perfect for gathering around during those cooler months.
Back out onto the expanded covered deck, you’ll find ample outdoor living space to soak in the peaceful wooded mountain views! Speaking of soak, an o-so-relaxing five-seater Hot Tub (w/ waterfall feature) awaits to melt away all your cares in the world after a long-day of outdoor adventures. An outdoor firepit is also the perfect place to roast those smores and enjoy the outdoors! A grill is also provided for those master chefs!
Back inside, on the main level past the kitchen you’ll find your full sized washer and dryer, also the full size bathroom (with stand up shower), along with the main level King Bed Primary Bedroom. Upstairs, you’ll find the two additional guest bedrooms; one with two twin beds and the other with a queen bed AND it's own private balcony. A jack-and-jill bathroom between the two bedrooms for convenient use. Perfect space for the kids or extra guests, allowing this cabin to sleep up to 6 guests very comfortably and "spread out".
THE SURROUNDINGS
The cabin sits at an elevation of 3,000 feet, allowing for those cool mountain breezes even in warmer weather months. The entire property is heavily wooded & shaded, allowing for maximum privacy and a "treehouse" feeling when outside.
There is a freshwater spring on the property, right alongside the firepit, with a very small stream flowing from the spring into Katie Creek below.
The road to get to the cabin is completely paved and well maintained, all the way to the cabin's driveway (state highway). No overly steep roads! Short gravel driveway once you arrive to the cabin, which is a circular driveway making entry/exiting easy.
