Loved staying at the Inn at Springfield Manor! Brooke and Zach are great hosts, they were able to help me arrange to have a bottle of white wine chilling in my room upon arrival! Staying in this old bed and breakfast felt like being back in time! Perfect mini getaway
Beautiful old country Inn. We liked everything about the place, except the size of our room. I would definitely stay there again, just not the same room,
Good welcome and pleasant staff, but we were very disappointed with the quality of the breakfast. Muffins, yoghurt, apples, orange juice, coffee or tea and that's it. No other choice, no bread, jam or pastries despite our request.
The room was fine, but the noisy ventilation worked all night.
All in all, nothing exceptional. At this price we'll go to the hotel next time.
Our stay at the Inn at Springfield Manor was so peaceful and relaxing. A much needed retreat in a beautiful area! Zach and Brooke were so helpful and very kind.
A beautiful property with great views in all directions. The inn is close to Coctocin park and the adjacent distillery and winery were a great Sunday afternoon hangout with live music.
So much history in this almost 250 year old Manor. It was like staying in a museum. Very cool! A lot of original features. Cute room, temperature was kept very cool and comfortable. No Tv and 1 out of 5 outlets worked for our cell charger. Previous guests soap and body wash left in shower, toilet bowl had the dirty rim inside so it was scrubbed for sometime. Overall very nice experience. Inn Keeper was always available and super friendly. The breakfast was neurogenic coffee and Costco type muffins. I think that was most disappointing. At lease freshly brewed coffee to enjoy in patio would have made up for the lack of breakfast at this “Bed and Breakfast”. Very quiet after 11pm. There was a wedding so before 11pm we felt like we were partying with the guests outside. First ask if there will be a wedding when you stay, and if the hot breakfast will be available. Overall I enjoyed this peaceful area and having the winery next door was a huge plus!!
Robin, who takes care of the Bed and Breakfast, was amazing and extremely helpful through all parts of our stay. She is a reason we would stay at the BnB again and is an asset to Springfield Manor.
A beautiful historic place! Comfortable, with beautiful scenery! On site brewery, winery, distillery, and awesome food! This place is sentimental to us now and we will definitely frequent Springfield Manor! I do recommend bringing a laptop for television, they do have wi-fi! I was so glad I brought mine for watching a movie!
Very pleasant scape for New Years, nice place specially for weddings or renting the hole house with family and friends. The winery is next to the property. Breakfast was also delicious.
The Inn is a lovely structure, sure to appeal to anyone who enjoys the beauty and grace of historical architecture. The room furnishings are a pleasing mix of unfussy antiques and modern touches, with fully updated bathrooms. Everything is clean and attractive, with a restrained sense of decor (there are not a bunch of dusty knickknacks jammed onto shelves like at some historic inns). The only jarring note was the constant traffic noise from nearby Route 15. It never stopped. Though the Inn is set on a large piece of land, it fronts onto this busy road. But other than that, the vibe was relaxing and welcoming. It’s a great base for visiting Cunningham Falls State Park and the Catoctins. The Innkeepers were pleasantly unobtrusive and helpful.
