We were offered a room in a quiet section, but it was deficient in the following: inadequate air conditioning, only one lamp worked and only one chair. We requested repairs to AC after one night which did take place, but we were moved to a different room and appreciated it for both more space and adequate AC with better lighting Upon checking in, we were not made aware and three chairs. Upon checking there was no information about the facilities, including dining room hours/days of operation. No in-room information was available either. A missed opportunity to communicate to guests about the Maison Dupuy. Lobby coffee was great and also appreciated the availability of cold drinking water. Hot water in room was great!

The first thing i noticed was a funky smell as soon as i came in the door. Whatever. I quickly got used to it and it was not an issue after that. Staff were great. I loved the ladies at the front desk. They were sweet and helpful with everything i needed.My room had a great balcony overlooking the street. This made it 420 friendly. Otherwise the room was fine. It's a funky old New Orleans hotel. The place is dated for sure but it was clean and safe location and all that you need close but not in the middle of the French Quarter. Id stay there again at the right price.

In expensive and located in a fantastic location. So what's the catch? Property is a little run down. A good value for what you're spending, but remember you cannot expect 5 stars on a 2 star budget.

Tv keeps freezing up. No face towels since the first day we got here. Water slowly draining out of sink and when take a shower you're standing in water the whole time because water is very slow draining out of tub. Need a discount now!!!!

Do not come here for a Gym
We frequent NOLA yearly 9 years and counting. Our usual establishment was booked due to an in town convention. We decided to book Maison Dupuy. Upon booking, I always look for a gym, even on vacation I work out so it’s a must for me. The picture online showed a gym but the cardio part. Well looks can be deceiving. Upon arriving, the next day, we went and looked at the gym, it was a joke. All cardio, 4 medicine ball (one broken) and 2 pairs of dumbbells (40 lbs and 50 lbs). This gym was not locked not monitored. We had to find a local gym New Orleans Athletic Club and pay a day pass of $20. Staff is friendly and helpful. Amenities are slim, online pictures show different than the actual property. Would not stay here again.

We had to get housekeeper to do our room and one day never got to us til 4 pm. Tv had to get someone to program it and after tv was off we were back to square one. We will not stay there.

The hotel is ok, but in need of some serious upgrades. The elevators seem like they are about to give out. The carpet in the room is dirty and outdated, the vent in the bathroom was replaced with a light bulb not sure how up to fire code that was, the bathroom also had a mixture of old gold and silver hardware, the ceiling in the bathtub looked like it had mold from water damage. No cable tv only, the restaurant never seemed to be open and their credit card system needs updating. All other hotels the hold falls off but here the hold goes through then they refund after check out so now I’m paying interest on money that should not have cleared but the staff was very friendly
