Lovely 1 Bedroom apartment in private home overlooking the marsh in Frisco. Your own private entrance leads you to a comfortable, large living area, sunroom, dining area and private screened in porch. Enjoy the serene bedroom and spacious bathroom, with linens & towels provided. Keurig, Convection Toaster Oven, Microwave, Medium size Fridge with Freezer, Basic Kitchen Utensils & Dinnerware, & Small Gas Grill also provided. This delightful home is located in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walking or jogging and even has private Sound access with a sandy beach - a perfect spot for launching kayaks or just enjoying the peace. 5 minutes from public beach access. Rent a 4x4 vehicle from Fish Tales, located just around the corner from Marsh Mellow. Come for a few days, or a few weeks!

Cozy Getaway
The Marsh mellow was everything and more for a couple looking to have a romantic weekend. The entry way garden with exotic plants and flowers were so lovely. I have to say that it has the coziest feel as soon as you walk in. The white couch was our favorite spot at night with candles lit and a glass of wine. Jackie and Dennis were such great host leaving a few special items in the fridge for us to enjoy with our stay. In the mornings with a cup of coffee and the view of an egret in the sound , I will miss that. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Peaceful vacation at this hidden little gem
Jackie communicated very well and took the time to make our stay feel like home. The reviews of this property are accurate but surprised not do not fully describe how nice the space is. Very relaxing and much bigger inside than expected.

Green oasis
Beautiful private space with a great marsh view. Loved watching herons and osprey in the marsh. Great book selections for a rainy day in, and very convenient to beach access, sound access, good local restaurants. Comfortable bed and everything needed to cook simple meals, even cookies and k-cups supplied, which was great for arrival after a busy morning! So nice to have an outside hose available to rinse off sandy feet. Easy parking for our full-size truck and very responsive host. Loved our short stay and looking forward to returning for longer someday!

Senior Special
This was a beautiful place, especially for seniors—no steps and a lot of throw blankets to keep us warm. The place had a big bedroom with a comfortable bed and the living room was beautiful decorated and with a huge bathroom. Our hostess with above in accommodating us when our grand children came and stayed one night. The apartment is well stocked with everything you would need if you wanted to eat in.

The property is beautiful from the grounds to the views and the living spaces. The host, Jackie, added special touches, including a welcome snack on our arrival to providing all the comforts of home. Our visit was brief but we hope to return to Marsh Mellow in the future.

Exceptional stay! Made my bucket list trip to OBX a trip come true!! On a scale of 1-10, this is an 11.This apartment is everything in the listing and more! Wonderful and gracious hosts; beautiful surroundings. Exceptionally clean, cozy, private, and quiet! Comfortably furnished with so many little touches like you're at home (even a small personal fan, as well as a ceiling fan in the livingroom). View wildlife and beautiful sunsets from inside the atrium; or even better sunsets, from a short walk to the sound-side secluded beach (bring mosquitoe spray!!!, [which Jackie even supplied in the spacious, and equipped bathroom]). You can cook on the gas grill, and/or make ahead/buy main and side entrees to store in the midsized freezer/fridge to heat in the microwave, and eat at the table in the atrium. Regular and disposable dishes provided. Extras in the fridge, compliments of the hosts! Perfect place for a romantic getaway, especially in fall/winter with the gas fireplace. Exceptional pricing for what you get! Don't hesitate to book it! (Or maybe you shouldn't, so it's available when I want to book it again! LOL!) I hope to do so again soon! A friend and I wanted to take a trip together like we use to. Neither of us had been to the Outer Banks so that’s where we went. Angie was very helpful and she had several suggestions for places to ear and sightseeing. The apartment was very clean and decorated lovely. We would go back there again.

Clean, beautiful, and minutes away from the beach. Jackie was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable. We couldn’t find the grill, and when we came back from the beach Jackie surprised us with a new grill on the patio and a plate of seafood appetizers. Just an example of what an amazing host she is. We would feel lucky to come back!

Serene Bay Stay
Lovely place inside and out. Absolutely spotless when we arrived. Jackie was friendly and had awesome amenities for us. The view was amazing and we saw many frogs and even a gecko. You’ll wish you booked a longer stay!

The perfect 3 day retreat for the two of us
Enjoyed our short stay at the “Marsh Mellow”. Comfortable, clean, well-furnished and nicely decorated. An eclectic selection of books to browse through and choice of rooms to sit back to relax or read. Our host, Jackie, was most gracious and welcoming.

Beautiful tranquil retreat
The view was beatiful, the apartment was private, quiet and clean. Jackie provided anything you could imagine even a platter of goodies to eat as we arrived early evening and the resturants close early. Ther were egrets and and great blue herons outside our window.
