The hotel is a budget hotel which is reflected throughout. All the staff (with the exception of one night porter) were helpful and polite. Sadly my last three nights took a turn for the worst on my return to the hotel in the early hours of the morning. Up until then I had know problem getting in, I would tap gently on the door and the night porter would buzz me in. On my fourth night however I could not get in. I taped gently on the glass, I knocked on the door, I rang the bells (there were two), I knocked on the window. I did all the above many times over a 20 minute period. I then went down the street to a neighbouring hotel & explained my problem, she let me use their toilets, I ask did they have a room they said they were full. I returned to my hotel & the porter had turned up, let me in and apologised for being absent.
I could not believe the next night was exactly the same, no answer to my tapping,knocking, ringing the bells. Nothing I had been followed by two men and felt a little unsafe. I repeated al the above again. Nothing, I tried the window to see if it was open, it was. I shouted for attention….nothing. I then managed to reach a chair and ‘russell’ it on the floor to make even more noise. I was even considering going to the police as I thought maybe something had happened to the night porter.
