It's a old hotel but well maintained. Shopping is just a step away. Train station is about 5 minute walk. No problem finding eateries. A good place to stay but no onsen. Disadvantage is near the road and if you are staying low floor, you can hear the traffic noise.

Nishitetsu Grand is a bit dated in terms of design. But it shines in other areas. Clean, relatively spacious rooms (standard twin rooms) and in a convenient location. Happy to return here when I'm back in Fukuoka.

Reason for the 3 star rating is that the room was really stuffy and the air temp and controls can not adjust in the room and was centrally controlled by the hotel for all rooms at once. Room was really hot and stuffy and can’t open the window gave a headache and was really uncomfortable. Older hotel as well. Great location and outstanding staff.
