STAY AWAY!!
If you never read and follow a review in your life, PLEASE listen to this one. My family were in town for a Vollyball tournament and we just needed a place for 2 nights. Immediately upon checking in we noticed how dated the hotel was. Fine no problem, we got to our room and the smell from the bathroom was just awful. We had to change rooms. The new room had clean sheets but the furniture was old and peeling. Soap containers with no soap. We turned on the water for showers and rusty water came out! The next morning we headed down for “free breakfast” but got stuck on the broken elevator. The staff member had to reset the elevator control. Breakfast included powdered eggs, hard sausage, cereal with no milk and juice machine broken. We asked for housekeeping services which never happened. HAD to keep the hotel because the prices were too high at other hotels for last minute booking. I am a real person. Today is December 8th, 2024. Please reconsider if you re considering this place. Less expensive does not equal better. Pay the extra for another hotel because nothing beats the safety and comfort of your family.

Dated, dirty hotel w/ horrible service.
This was the worst stay I have ever experienced in a dated hotel that needs to be demolished and rebuilt. 1) Pressure washing outside building causing dirt flying around 2) At breakfast, the hotel said they ran out of sausages, yogurt, and orange juice. There was a grocery a few blocks away. GO BUY WHAT YOU NEED!!!! 3) I ask upon check in to have my room service each day. It was never serviced at all. They called me and I said I would be leaving at 11:30am for a meeting. Housekeeping NEVER cleaned the room. 4) Dust is an inch thick on the light grate in the bathroom. It’s never been vacuumed. 5) There is a constant noise coming out of the wall HVAC. 6) The TV is horrible. Lots of channels on the provided channel line up but the remote doesn’t allow access to them. 7) To end a horrible hotel stay on a positive note, the bed pillows were comfortable, there was lots of instant hot water, and the water pressure was great. However, I would never stay here again and I’m coming back to Gainsville in February ’25. I’ll be staying just down the block.

The door handle only operated by pull up, not down, making it difficult with luggage. The shower curtain was mildewed and the smell was terrible There was a high-pitched whine in the bathroom that was horrible, but with the door closed, was tolerable in the room. I took my shoes off upon entry, but the bath mat ended up visibly dirty from the dirt on the floors. The “breakfast” was extremely limited and there wasn’t even any pepper out, much less hot sauce or salsa. The “business nook” computer didn’t work The laundry didn’t work. I won’t be staying here again.

The beds were comfortable and the room was fairly clean. The choices for breakfast were few, they didn't have butter for the waffles, the beverages (2) were room temperature. At 8am there was only 2 pieces of sausage left and no one to be found to replenish the very few choices of food. When someone was asked about the sausage they were very rude. The refrigerator in our room made a loud noise every time the compressor kicked on. You can tell they are trying to update the rooms but, whoever is doing the work is doing a sorry job. Asked for more towels and rags and was told I had to turn the dirty ones in first to receive clean ones. I travel a lot and have never heard of such. First & LAST time at this property

Tv reception was terrible. Carpet in room was filthy. Breakfast was disgusting. One elevator was broken, the other elevator did not give two people time to get on or off before the doors closed. The only good thing was the price.

First room was very dirty and it seemed someone was smoking prior to our arrival. Few cockroaches in the bathroom areas . Not a functional bulb light.A new room was requested and everything came back to life.

The fire inspection on the levator was expire. One elevator was not working and the other broke down twice during our stay. There were exposed wires from the ac that could be dangerous for small children. There were stains on the carpet and trash was swept under the bed skirt. The WiFi did not work for most of our stay. The bathroom door only opened from inside so if you closed it you wouldn’t be able to get back in. We called to have it fixed but it never was. Hotel needs major maintenance
