We stayed here for a nearby convention. While we technically could see the ocean from the room, the view was much more of the roof and air conditioning units. The entrance to the room was more motel style as the walkway and doors to the rooms were outside. The room was clean and comfortable, but definitely nothing fancy.

The property was under construction and I was not informed of this prayer to my stay. This caused dust around the check in desk that made it unpleasant to complete the check in process. The staff was nice and I felt comfortable leaving my car on the property. They did offer transportation to and from the port. This is the main reason for staying at this property. The transportation to the port was good. On the way back we were told that we could catch the bus at any time. Come to learn that there are specific time the bus would be at the port. Causing us to wait for over two hours for a ride back to the property.

First off, the room they gave us was occupied with a sleeping person who was not happy when I opened the door. Good thing he had the latch done on the door. Then the next room we got, the bathroom door wouldn't close and the shower head pointed out which sprayed the bathroom floor when I turned the shower on. That made a huge mess which required most of our towels to clean it up. The curtains didnt close so we had to use hangers to cinch them closed because the street light was pouring into the room. We did get a free breakfast out of the deal and that was all. There was loud construction outside of our room early and workers at our balcony door working. All in all i was not pleased with the stay.

We stayed one night, the room inside was relatively comfortable, however, we were assigned a room that is right facing a roof with AC unit in front of the view. for $500 a night, this is absolutely not worth it.

Wonderful stay! Great staff, great view, very nice room! A little bit untidy in places due to ongoing upgrade work, but once the renovations are complete this will be an even more awesome hotel!

Disappointing stay: Beware misleading pics
Location, location, location! That's what drew me to this hotel, but unfortunately, that's where the excitement ends. The 'resort' name is a stretch - it's more like a budget motel. Picturesque online images don't reflect reality. This place needs serious renovation (which, thankfully I think, is underway). For now, expect: - Uncomfortable, hard-spring beds (think sore mornings) - Limited parking (be prepared to walk from down the street, not ideal with little ones especially after sunset) - Sketchy vibes (not what you'd expect from a 'resort') - The area photographed with the chairs and fire pit was not big enough to accommodate the people here, maybe 10 at the most. -Ac didn’t cool enough and made weird noises all night -Shower was not working properly and made loud noises, water would come out of the top and bottom Silver linings: - Soft sheets and pillows - Prime location near the water - Bathroom has complimentary “dove” shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion and hand soap. Definitely feels like that king dollar dove though, if you know what I mean. -Live band on site Don't get me wrong, potential is there. Renovations might transform this place. Until then, set realistic expectations. *Price doesn't match quality.* Consider alternatives. *Rating:* 1/10 *Recommendation:* Wait for renovations or choose another option, San Luis hotel next door was literally cheaper and looked 100000% better than this. Regretted choosing this one over that one.
