We stayed for one night as we are taking a cruise the next day. This is our 2nd time at a la Quinta hotel. Both experiences have been great. Great hospitality, clean facilities, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean showers. Breakfast not bad for the price. Our room had a great water front view. SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY!!! LOVE IT. THANK YOU TEXAS.

I need to clarify my rating! The ladies that checked us in and prepared breakfast were immediately responsive, friendly and accommodating. However the person at the desk during checkout was nonresponsive to our many requests to come to the desk to check us out. He was terrible. Our room wasn't very clean. There was food residue left on a food tray, hair on the floor in the entryway, bath room floor and shower. I wore socks and flip flops the entire time i was in the room because thee room felt dirty.

More parking spaces & a lot less weed smoking!
This property is modern, updated, clean and in a location central to most Galveston attractions. The parking options leave a lot to ne desired and so does the odor of weed smoking that hits you in the face, once you exit the elevators and into the outdoor parking area. Not sure why, but on two separate occasions we had an employee (housekeeping? ) barge into our room unannounced; once on the day of our departure, as we were packing up, and another time on the day before. Overall, for the price point, it's a nice property.
