Great location but be ready for some noise as it’s near several pubs. Very walkable area and we loved our time in Galway! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is the perfect location for a solo or couple traveling wanting to experience Galway to the fullest without any hassle. The car park was right next door and easy to find. The hotel itself was surrounded by dining and drinking locations all within just a few minute walk. Convenience and ease of access made this stay unique compared to any other city in Ireland. Galway ended up being my favorite place to visit among all the major destinations in Ireland and The Snug Townhouse helped exceed expectations.

This property followed the wisdom of Maya Angelou, when people (or in this case a hotel) tells you who they are believe them! This is a stylish, centrally located, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are exactly as advertised - snug. The area is lively, colourful, and full of spirit!!!! That said - we had to leave on the first night. The pub across the street plays music until late and despite provided ear plugs - it is incredibly loud. Staff were accommodating, moving us to another room that unfortunately had some consistent mechanical noise forcing us to pack a bag at 1:00am and search out another hotel. But that is really our bad, this hotel is a perfect fit for heavy sleepers, late night aficionados, or those looking to party the night away only to tumble into a comfy little burrow at 3am. It just was not for this light sleeper. So when a business says we are snug and located in the heart of the party district - believe it!!

We loved this cute little boutique hotel. It was clean, well maintained and the vibe just cool! Great location in the heart of all the fun. It does get a little loud in the evening but it is all part of the fun!

This was an really cool hotel smack in the middle of the Latin Quarter. Incredibly convenient for the whole street of pubs and very close to great walking paths along the bay and the canals. The only reason it's losing stars is because some of the wall mounted fixtures could be done better, but honestly if you're not an architect you probably won't be bothered.

Good Location but Little Sleep
The Snug was conveniently located and they were kind enough to send us details on where to go for off site paid parking. The shower was hot. Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable and it was very loud. Even with the provided earplugs in I was not able to sleep though my partner who is a heavy sleeper slept ok. I think we would have been better staying on a higher floor as there were businesses doing some work to close at around 2AM that was directly outside our ground level window. Unfortunately we were encouraged to take the ground level accessible room due to our luggage which fit fine under the bed so the additional space was not needed.

You’re definitely in the action of Quay St. in this area. Everyone was very hospitable and the rooms were very nice and modern. It’s a great stay if you want to enjoy Galway night life.

Confined, but convenient
Very “snug” indeed! Conveniently located on the main strip in Galway. No elevators, but staff did carry up our luggage for us, which was helpful. Bed is tucked away in the corner, so you do have to crawl in, but it was comfortable. Since it is on the Main Street, it’s a little noisy at night, but they provided ear plugs which helped a lot! Not a lot of room for bags, but for a few nights, it did the job for the two of us.

While the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. It is located on a busy, pedestrian only street with a lot of restaurants, pubs, and shops. You could hear the noise from the street through the window, but I enjoyed hearing the festivities. If you want a very quiet location, this may not be the place for you.

Wish I had a better review. The location is great and the hotel itself was very nice. The whole street is closed off to cars so very walkable. The car park was less than a 5 minute flat walk. There was an excellent coffee shop with breakfast items just next to it for an easy take away before heading back on the road. We got the bunk room for the extra space. Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The layout of the rooms is quirky. Because of the location, we expected it to be noisy. The pubs and foot traffic quieted at around 2am. Ear plugs provided by the hotel were appreciated. The beds were comfy. Room got warm and we couldn’t figure out how to regulate. Because of the street noise we dared not to open the window. Most unfortunate was the construction crew that got started at the crack of dawn that made us give up any hope of sleeping in.

Great location, its in the heart of everything. Hotel was very clean and the staff wonderful. Downside is there is a lot of street noise if your room is on that side. Avoid room #7 at all cost, its directly over the entrance door and street noise, doublewhammy. Ear pugs help.

Location was amazing. So many restaurants and shopping at your doorstep. The river with a scenic path just steps away. it was the smallest room we stayed in during our 3 weeks of travel. Only one person has room to get dressed at a time. Luggage has to go under bed in order to have room to walk. However, worth it for location if staying a few nights.

It was a really cool place with modern amenities as far as many plug outlets, bath and shower supplies. It was a little small for our liking but that is was they offer! It is right in there by all the action. Staff was very helpful.
