Quiet little place
The staff here acted as though they've always known you, except for the cat, but then, that's how cats are. This is an older establishment, but has been kept well. Other than wishing there were more electrical outlets and a bit firmer mattress, we were happy as could be. There is a camping space behind the motel and a playground for kids. It was quiet and peaceful, which was just what we hoped for.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at this rustic and charming resort. The cabin we stayed in was lovely, just like before. The only downsides were the screens were torn and bent in some places, so keeping out the bugs was a challenge on a warm day. Plus the toilet had a leak and you could hear it recycling every 5 minutes all day & night. The cute tiny kitchen area made it fun to make your own meals, but come prepared with some of your own utensils and pans; there is only one small frying pan and 2 small pots. And not too many larger spoons or spatulas. Plenty of silverware. The bed is comfy, and there's just enough room for a couple.

Cute cabin and lovely to be on the river. Nice pool and spa. Cabin was very small and no bathroom sink. But for one night it was fun. Groceries and food just down the road so very convenient.

This cute cabin in the woods was the perfect weekend gettaway. Just a short walk to the Eel River and having our own firepit in front of our cabin just made our stay alittle more special. The front of house was always super kind and friendly. We definitely would stay here again!

The hotel is not fancy but clean and quiet. Office staff was super friendly and helpful. Although there are no restaurants around the resort they gave us helpful suggestions on restaurants fairly close. Great experience. Would definitely go back.

Nicest folks
Nice, nice people. Rooms were just fine -- no issues at all. Comfortable bed and large rooms. We got 40 miles away and my wife realized she had forgotten her purse -- called them and they instantly retrieved it with me still on the phone. We drove back and picked it up and they wouldn't take a nickel for ther kindness. One note, don't try to get there via Garberville exit -- that is the long way. Take the Redwood Dr. Exit off 101
