Was a good spot as we were traveling and needed to stop and rest for 1 night. The property was nice, clean upon arrival. The room had a slightly musty smell but it went away, we adjusted the a/c. Bathroom was clean and large, beds were comfortable.

The hotel was extremely understaffed. There was just one lady at the lobby and she was also attending to guests at the breakfast. She was very polite and nice but was overwhelmed with taking care of everything! The trash in the rooms was not emptied daily. Bathrooms did not have exhaust fans which made the mirrors fog up after a shower.

During our stay, we left to explore Savannah and came back to carpet cleaners on our floor with our room door left wide open. This would have not been an issue had the property told us they were doing this and we would have had our stuff cleaned up. However, they took the liberty to move our stuff and leave our door open for anyone to access. Staff for the most part were personable.

Checked in around 3:30 found carpet was dirty someone else’s shirts still hanging in closet and room was hot got cleaning lady to come in and vacuum floor there was hair in the sink and shower and on the bathroom floor and mold around the tub (I have pictures) lady didn’t have time to clean whole room went downstairs complaining about AC was told I had it turned on wrong she came in turned unit off and back on told us it will cool down in about an hour ok I’ll wait it is a hot day left came back about 5:30 or so room still hot back downstairs told same lady I asked it we can change rooms NO going to call manager 30 minutes later he comes in saying the thermostat was set wrong I ask him can we just change rooms NO hotel maybe full AC never cooled down 10 pm I’m standing in the lobby telling the lady I want another room or a full refund for the 5 days I booked at 10:30 she says ok I will move you to another room 7 hours later this is the worse Baymont I have ever stayed at I have always stayed with Wyndham/baymont, fla, ga, ala, va, tx.
