This is the only place we will stay in Gatlinburg because it is so nice! We love to get the corner rooms that have a nice balcony with a view of downtown and the mountains.

The hotel and rooms were very clean. Staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel location was great! Close and walkable to shopping, entertainment, and dining options. The hotel has a lot of spaces and areas for people to sit and relax.

Upon arrival we noticed a lot of hair under the sheets and asked to be switched to a different room. However, none were available. The bed was so loud and could feel every spring. Then our last day we were woken up by the housekeeper knocking on the door to the room next to us for over 10 minutes. The party had checked out of the room the day before and I am uncertain as to why the housekeeper would need to knock continuously to go in to clean an empty room. Not at all the standard we expected for a Marriott or paid for in my opinion. Do not recommend!!

You know, this is a really beautiful place to stay, and Kathy was a delight to work with, but some of the other employees were rude and I don’t pay big money (like what we spent overall in this hotel) for rudeness. That will not be tolerated. The beds are hard as a rock to me. And the pillows were very not comfortable and there wasn’t enough of them. Marriot can do better than this. Up your standards.
