good stay
Room was clean and homey. Staff was very pleasant. Room had a small fridge and a safe to secure your money. Great shower. However, Lighting in the room is limited,no place to put your cloths i.e. closet or drawers, etc. Never saw a front office but staff was in the parking lot to assist. Very good for short stay.

Doors did not lock
We arrived late so I had to wait on instructions to be sent to me for late checkin. The information was incomplete as there was no instruction on how to lock the hotel room door once inside. There was no deadbolt or latch. We had to move a chair in front of the door for safety… mind you this is in black bear country so this was also to try to protect us from that. The porch had large spiders covering it so we couldn’t enjoy it. The AC unit was extremely loud and didn’t work that well, room was warm. Overall, not a great or comfortable stay. We asked for a 50% discount which the manager said they would do but I haven’t seen that come through. Now I’m going to have to spend more of my time fighting for the money I am due.

Great location. Would have given five stars if not for some quirky issues such as incredibly small parking spots, issues with shower drainage, and the need to request toilet paper (started with only 1/2 a roll). All requests were handled by text as there is no lobby and they were handled very quickly for the most part. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The balcony was great overlooking little Pigeon River.

The people we talked to on the phone and met in person were extremely nice and helpful. I loved that they wore badges saying "Inn Keeper" The property appeared to be newly remodeled and was very clean. Every room has an assigned parking spot and ours was under cover right outside our door. The very private, very quiet balcony overlooked the river with nothing on the other side, so it felt as if we were in the mountains all by ourselves even though it was located within walking distance of all downtown Gatlinburg has to offer. The only negative was that the rooms have the typical air conditioning units that are loud. With that being said, we will definitely be staying at the Historic Rocky Waters Inn again!

We loved our stay at the Historic Rocky Water Inn. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The room was lovely and included a balcony with a water front view of a Pigeon River spur… the river sounds were totally relaxing! Would definitely stay here again!

This property was nicely updated. The room we had was perfect, over the bubbling Pigeon river. I wish we had a lower room that was closer, but they didn't have any available at the time of check-in. The only gripe we have about the room itself was the A/C sounded like it needed to be serviced soon. It was pretty loud. Other than that he amenities and service were fantastic. It was slightly more expensive than I felt it should've been, but we were happy with the stay.

Wonderfully located near entertainment & shopping. Lovely view of stream in the back of property, which was available to view on all balconies. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Rooms a very comfortable, quiet & clean. Also ate at The Heirloom Room, that is next door. Also recommend due to great food & convenience. Staff was very tentative & made our anniversary very enjoyable.
