When i first arrived i was greeted very nicely and checked in like normal, everything went just fine until i got to my room and realized i had been given the wrong room. I called and the desk clerk put me into the right room almost immediately.

The front desk was amazing! We stayed here after a rough experience with another hotel and couldn’t have been more pleased with customer service, room accommodations, and location. The room was clean, the front desk was beyond helpful and kind, and the pool was so fun and clean.

Sydney James Mountain Lodge King room w/ J & FP
My husband and I booked a little “getaway trip” to Gatlinburg! We were satisfied with our room at Sydney James Mountain Lodge. The room was a bit dated and could have used updates, but overall was good. We booked the jacuzzi/fireplace king bed room. Everything worked as it should. The Lodge is far enough away from town that you can’t hear everything going on when resting, but also close enough you can walk to town! I would book again with Sydney James Mountain Lodge.

Our stay was phenomenal exactly what we needed. Everyone was very kind, I would personally like to thank Audrey! I had reserved the room and was charged but my bank didn’t let it go through, so I called and she reassured me my reservation was still saved. I was able to get it to go through, she was incredibly kind and helpful to my husband and I throughout our stay! We will definitely be back this time next year to it all over again. Thanks so much for everything! It was definitely a trip for firsts saw a baby black bear 🐻

This is a cozy little place. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The amenities are nice. The beds were comfortable and overall it was a great stay for the price we paid. There is a trolley stop at the hotel if you don't want to walk to the strip. You can ride the trolley free all around Gatlinburg and it will bring you back to the hotel. It runs all day, so it is very convenient. The grounds and little creek are so pretty. The room was outdated and could definitely use some updating, but it served its purpose and it was comfortable. The worst part was when people come and go, we were woke up every time someone was in the hallway. It is so loud, there is no sound barrier. After about 3am on Sunday it was over, we were up, there was no sleep. Overall for the price you pay, it is a great little place, just bring earplugs to help sleep through the noise of arrivals and departures.

Great place to stay on a budget!
GREAT location, friendly service, clean and comfortable rooms. The indoor pool is really a hidden gem at this hotel! Best indoor pool I think I've ever seen. My kids LOVE to swim, so we always try to stay at a place with an indoor pool, but the vast majority of them are just your average square pool in a room. This pool has a waterfall, a little "grotto" to swim around, and the hot tub is up on a platform in a "rock" formation. Front desk staff was very friendly. We did not try the restaurant. Bathrooms were sparkling clean, which is a must for me. My only complaint, and I know this may sound petty, but I had to find something to complain about - the sink in the room was this seashell shape and it's totally flat on the bottom. So when you're brushing your teeth or doing anything in the sink, the toothpaste/whatever doesn't go down the drain. It just kindof languishes in the sink. I hate that. The location cannot be beat. Less than 1 mile from the main "strip," and the Log Cabin pancake house is a 5-minute walk away, if that's your thing. I'm so glad I found this little hotel and can't wait to go back!
