The Bird Hallar - Cozy, quiet cabin in The Glades!

Welcome to The Bird Hallar in Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Fit for small families or a few friends, this secluded 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin rental sleeps up to 4 guests. Amenities include a wood burning fireplace, an indoor jetted tub, and king-size beds. The Bird Hallar is also located on about 19 acres of land, making it a great place to take a walk and admire the peaceful mountain and tree scenery. There is even a wonderful hiking trail (a little under 1/2 mile) on the property, just down from the cabin! Enjoy spectacular views here, especially in winter!

After playing at downtown attractions in Gatlinburg, like Anakeesta and Ripley's Haunted Adventure, or hiking and horseback riding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, return to The Bird Hallar to relax and entertain. Sway on the rocking chairs and inhale the fresh mountain air. Or play provided board games in the dining space while enjoying local wine and treats from the full kitchen. If you're in the mood for a cookout, you can fire up the charcoal, picnic-style grill!

In the evenings, read by the wood burning fireplace or draw yourself a hot bath in the indoor jetted tub before slipping into your king-size bed. Awesome place to stay while visiting the area with our two dogs! The cabin was clean and inviting with more than enough space. The fenced area is small but easy to check for bears and perfect for letting my guys out in the middle of the night. Location is secluded but still a close drive away from the national park, a great coffee shop (shout out to Gaitlinburg Grind!), and any other activity you may want to do. Satellite TV has tons of channels and was nice to watch before going to bed. Internet is slow but was enough to research the day's activities (and are you really going to such a beautiful area to be on wifi?? Get out and enjoy!). Would absolutely stay again!

The cabin was clean but the rust stains in bathroom sink and commode were unsightly. Loved the history photo and invite to hike the little on-site trail. Very comfortable stay.

Thank you owners of Bird Hallar for sharing your cabin with us. We certainly enjoyed the views from the back deck and the dog enjoyed getting to see a bear. It was just the right size for us. The driveway while steep and a little rutted was no match for the jeep gladiator! The house was located away from others - an added bonus - it was very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The only negative was the WiFi password given by the company managing the property was wrong. If we had only looked on the refrigerator, the correct password was posted there. We will be back!

Cabin was great. Great location for us ... hiking, biking and getting out in the woods. Property was nice and was able to do the walk to the top.Internet was poor and made it difficult to communicate and do anything online.

We arrived at 445 pm and the gate was open st the driveway. We easily opened the door with the code we were given. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We used some dishes, the toaster, and put items in the freezer and refrigerator. Wi-fi was easily accessed. The driveway was semi-steep but easily traversible.

This is not a place you want to stay. I don't blame the owner of this property...I blame the management company which is Cabins for You. They have hidden all the reviews for this cabin and provided an inaccurate description The cabin is old..the beds are horrible...they put two twin beds together to make a queen..the mattresses were uneven which created a wedge in the middle...heads boards not bolted to the frames..just leaned against the wall....absolutely horrible internet...some type of satellite internet that did not work at all the majority of time. A number of bugs in the cabin...driveway very difficult to get up even in a all wheel drive. Do not waste your time on this property...there are better options.

The stay was great we loved it but the driveway needs to be much easier going up the drive way and the gate situation if I closed gate why the next morning it's open even when we leave to go out an we closed gate, come back gate open can I ask why the gate be open if we closed it . But other then that the stay was great

Enjoyed this cabin. It was very clean. Only two minor issues. The water was cloudy, so we could not use it. The jetted tub did not work. Otherwise it was satisfactory.

Double check the door code before you get there and watch out for bears

They gave us the wrong code for the door and left us on hold for almost 10 minutes while we waited outside the cabin for the correct code. It wasn’t that bad but kinda annoying. A bear pried open our trash can outside even though it was “bear proof” and left trash all over the place. Overall it was a nice stay minus check in and being left on hold for 20 minutes when I was checking out, wanting assistance for their website but I was too frustrated after 20 minutes and hung up. Check in and check out isn’t smooth but the rest should be.

Great & Secluded

The house was great, the grill was spotless, the house is very secluded & spacious! Close enough to Gatlinburg to go anywhere you want with a short drive while also having lots of privacy surrounded by nature. Lots of squirrels jumping from tree to tree and beautiful birds all around. Perfect for a couple or a family! Will definitely stay here again!
