First of all, I brought my children, they make you sign an affidavit that your children will not go near the casinos. Which is great! The room has no soap, the toilet paper was almost gone, no extra. The room was cold, the heater was at 72. But it was still cold. We then found out the window was opened and wouldn’t close as the latch was broken. Very dangerous as no screen. We were on the 4th floor.

Checking in, Rebecca was very nice and very helpful. She even took the time to show me how to use the elevator, and show me how to get back to my car. Above and beyond customer service. I only stayed the one night. As a lot of others said, it was very hot in the room, but I opened the window, and that was comfortable.

Random people asking to use your room key to go up the elevators. No room service after 3 night stay. Door to bathroom would not close. Phone was not working. No Gym. No free breakfast for as much as they charge. Room was nice and spacious. 2nd time staying here, next time I will stay somewhere else.

I would have to admit horseshoe is definitely 2nd best to monarch. Got checked in early and paid the fee. Got to our room and the keys didn’t work. Had to spend extra time going to the desk waiting for new keys to work. The water pressure in the room is absolutely nonexistent. Good luck cleaning up. The room service. Also nonexistent. Got told when we checked in to call if we need anything extra because there was 4 adults in 1 room. Called. Got told to come to the desk to get more towels. What’s the point of room service or even saying to call for extra when you could’ve just gave us extra to begin with instead of making an extra trip. I would say it did smell good in the hotel and was relatively clean.

Beds are “short sheeted.” They make the beds such that the blanket and sheets stop about 16 inches from the top of the bed. I slept with my shoulders and chest uncovered all night. No spare blankets in the closet… and we couldn’t find the thermostat.

When I checked in. Within 5 minutes I tried to use the toilet and it wouldn’t flush. I call the front desk and by the time someone came I tried to fix it myself. 10 minutes later it still wasn’t fixed so I let the maintenance man come and he said it was fixed. Later that night after shift change another maintenance person came and replaced the handle and lo and behold it still wasn’t fixed. They only offered to return the resort fees. I believe I was entitled to way more than that!
