Absolutely wonderful! Walkable, lots of options literally at the Brick Houses front yard! Only complaint.... I was alone upstairs in Virginia room my 1st night. 2nd night a family came & was about 1030pm before they settled down. My first night super quiet! Even if their are ghosts, they let me sleep! Definitely would stay again! Might be a spirit 16 year old named Cheryl in the Virginia room.
I was traveling alone and stayed in the Virginia Room. It was very clean, cozy, quiet, and nicely decorated. Sam was friendly and very helpful. I couldn’t make the socials but it was nice to know that there’s an option to get to know other guests. They have a very nice patio area to sit and have coffee and it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.
Small room, no one to check you in, received the access code a day late , room i booked said queen was on a twin bed, new owners are out of touch and not like the previous owners, LoSt its Luster!!!
We travelled with a group of 5 couples and stayed in the Welty House, known for being part of the ghost tours in Gettysburg. The rooms were decorated in period furniture. There was a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs where we were able to gather. The beds are very firm, so this made it difficult for some to sleep. Rooms have electric fireplaces (except the Georgia room) which warmed up the rooms nicely. They moved me from the Georgia Room after the first night as the gas fireplace was not working and the weather had turned very cold and rainy. The staff, Sam, was very helpful and took great care of everyone. Note: nightly ghost tours took place in the basement, so those with rooms on the first floor heard their voices late into the evening.
Bed linens were aged and terribly faded. Pillows were heavy rocks. Curtains were shabby. The rug in my room was burgundy and visibly soiled even though dark. A single bath-shampoo-conditioner combo attached to the shower stall. Uncurated, un-themed antique decor picked from thrift. Tired, tired woodwork in my room, not sanded before the last coat of paint. Breakfast not included. Utility areas always on view.
wonderful property! location was amazing! never had to drive anywhere except for the battlefields of course. check in and check out was so simple! the rooms were clean and comfortable. i will say the only thing was make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. there was non provided. but most woman do bring thier own. all in all i would go back again and again!
Communication from the Brick House Inn was excellent. We did not stay for breakfast this visit. We did not see any staff this trip because we arrived in the evening. Thank you!
Manager was excellent in troubleshooting our reservation. We needed something a bit more handicap accessible than what we were originally assigned. We didn’t see anyone once we got to the property, but the directions we had were great. We didn’t need to see anyone.
