Staff were really friendly and accessible. Breakfast was good quality and tasty. Although the property is a bit dated and the shower water pressure wasn't great, it was a pleasant stay. It's a short walk to some shops and restaurants and a perfect short stopover hotel.

King Charles Hotel, Gillingham
Convenient and good value for a visit to Leeds castle, not a great looking place when you pull up, but much better inside, a little dated but clean and comfortable rooms and very good value for a family of 4. Evening meal was fine but the included breakfast was excellent. Would be happy to stay there again.

Poor breakfast and service
Checking at reception was easy and good. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable. However, there was an odour coming from the toilet. The shower head was very low and very difficult to get shower. The service at breakfast was very bad. The woman who served the breakfast was talking at the level of scolding everyone. Breakfast was very weak. Hardly no choice. I'm glad we stayed only one night. I won't stay again.

Cosy hotel in Gillingham
Nice, slightly old fashioned hotel in a convenient location. Lovely cosy atmosphere and sufficient furniture which is rare in more modern hotels. We love it and return once a year

Lovely friendly receptionist, hotel what clean and today, obviously a little dated but clean tidy and comfortable nonetheless. Overall a good stay and reasonable value too.

Good value hotel
The initial arrival to the hotel wasn't impressive, through an overgrown car park with cordoned off areas of rubble but the parking outside the hotel itself was fine. Service was decent and the rooms were a good size and recently refurbished. There was a good sized desk and wifi performance was good. Breakfast was fine with both a buffet selection for cold choices and a menu to order cooked options. The hotel is on a main road but a few minuted walk is the REME museum and there are plenty of dining options within 5-10 minutes walk too. Very good value.
