🌲The Lake Shack 🌲

Year round home located in Sandy Hook for a year round get away to beautiful Lake Winnipeg. 3 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach in the summer to relax. In the winter it's ideal for world class ice fishing and snowmobiling. 2 bedroom home with a double bed in each rm. 1 full bathroom with shower. 2 decks that step down to a fire pit and parking for at least 4 vehicles.

The Lake Shack is a 3 minute walk to the beach and perfect to destress, relax and recharge.

The Lake Shack is bright with plenty of windows a kitchen and living room to lounge in.

Lounge in the sun or enjoy breakfast on the front deck and relax near the fire pit in the evening while you BBQ.

Gimli is an eight minute drive North on hwy #9.

Guests may access all areas of the house, however there is renovation work going on in the back so for the safety of our guests we ask guest NOT to open the back door or use the back yard.

The front yard is a great place to hang out on your choice of two decks which both step down to a fire pit. There is a Trampoline for the kids to enjoy right off one of the decks.

Ample parking.

Great area for beach walks.

Willow Creek is a mile up the road. Lots of great fishing, canoeing and kayaking. There are a few local honey makers in the area.

In the winter our road, Husavik Rd becomes a direct access road for ice fishing shacks and ice fishing. As well as the starting point for many group hikes and snow shoeing across the lake to Grand Beach.

Guests are free to use the bbq, but please keep the grill and utensils clean and please bring your own propane.

Guests are free to use the fire pit, but please bring your own wood.

Again, there is some renovation work going on in the back so for guests safety we ask guests to not open or use the back North door or the back yard.

🏠 House Rules 🏠

1. Absolutely no parties/extra guests.
2. Check in is anytime after 3pm. Check out is at 11am, if guests would like a little extra time just ask, if we can make it work we will.
3. Please bring your own propane if you'd like to use the bbq.
4. No shoes/boots in the house.
5. No smoking inside the house.
6. No eating in the beds.
7. There is a DVD player and bluetooth speaker you may use.
8. We are on a well and leave our guests a 4 litre jug of water to drink or you may bring your own water.
9. Food under the toaster oven and in the closet in the main room are my family's so please don't eat it.
10. Put things back the way they were when you got there.
11. Due to theft of toilet paper guests will only be left a certain amount depending on their length of stay and are responsible for supplying their own if they use up what was left for them. We do not supply Kleenex or paper towels.

Great Stay!
Michael was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of when we had questions about the cabin. The place was nice and clean. It even came with some games and a great selection of DVDs for our little one to enjoy. Would definitely book with Michael again.!

Nice place but not where it showed in app.
I was staying here while I worked in area, was under the impression the property was in Gimli but it is actually in Husavic. The tap water smells like sewage, I mentioned it to the property owner who seemed to ignore the issue. When he communicated he expected a prompt response from me, however since I was there for work it wasn't possible and he then threatened to to come inspect the property while I was still staying there. I wasn't there to chitchat with the owner. The internet is wireless but not what I expected it to be, it is a cellular based tablet. No WiFi.
