Check-in
Checking in is made easy with self-check in. The key will be left in a key safe for you so you can check in any time you like (after 3pm). If you let us know when you think you will be checking in, we will call by to say hi if we are home.
Check-out
You will find a Check out to-do list on the bench when you arrive and we really appreciate your help with this, as it helps us to keep the costs as low as possible for everyone. Please let me know if you need assistance with these jobs. An additional cleaning fee will be charged if they aren't completed. They include taking out your rubbish and putting in new bin liners, striping the bed and putting used linen and towels in the laundry bag provided, thoroughly washing up your dishes, drying them and putting them away where you found them and leaving the space, both inside and outside, neat and tidy.
Other things to note
You may come across some insects during your stay. Flies, mosquitos, ants and spiders are a natural part of the ecosystem here. Insect repellent and spray are provided if you need them.
Please note, this Tiny House is on a 3 acre block of land. You will have the front 1 and a 1/4 acre area/paddock to yourself. The main house on the property is approximately 60m away, and an art studio is approximately 50m away, both are behind the Tiny House. The driveway for the Tiny house is shared with the rest of the property so you may see a car or person walk along the driveway occasionally. We aim to give our guests as much privacy as possible. While the Tiny is surrounded by native trees and there is plenty of wildlife, it is not in the middle of nowhere and you can see other houses in the distance. The access road is approximately 50m away and it has a small amount of traffic, probably more walkers than cars though.
The couch sitting area is utilised by removing the bed linen (you can pop the bedding in the cupboards or the loft area), taking the breaks off the bed banquettes and rolling them out to the sides (then put the brakes back on). Use the pillows and cushions provided as a back rest. If you prefer to have the couches all set up for you on arrival, please let us know by the day before and we will arrange this for you. Otherwise the bed will be all made up for you.
The loft area has a foam mattress that is a few inches thick. It is not a proper sleeping mattress.
