The Mill House - Comfortable 3 Bed House with Vintage Charm

Welcome to The Mill House! Located 1 mile NW of the Billerud Paper Mill, The Mill House is a comfortable, fully furnished and equipped 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with vintage charm. This little house is a perfect example of modern world meets old world! The Birds Eye Maple paneling in the entryway and upper bedrooms give off a "golden glow" that will remind you of a cozy vintage lake cottage from the 1940's. We offer a 55" TV with Roku Streaming, free high speed internet, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and a nice backyard space with a gas grill, patio dining and a firepit (wood provided) for kicking back and relaxing.

Dog of all sizes are welcome, however we do require a $75/PER PET deposit for all dogs during your stay. We do not provide a kennel, however we do have a medium size kennel for use upon request if needed. We do ask that you please clean up after your dogs, both inside and outside the house, keep them contained either by electronic collar or on a leash and please be respectful of our neighbors at all times. Also, if you allow your dogs on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to lay on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them so we can adjust our bedding. If your pets shed and hair starts to accumulate, we do ask that you please run the vacuum.
*We will charge accordingly if additional pets other than originally booked are brought to the property.

Incredible stay!
The Mill House was exactly what our family needed! It was cozy and felt like our little home away from home. Great location! The house was clean, well taken care of, and just the right size for us. The owners were available, if needed. Everything went great during our stay. There was plenty of wildlife around, and we got to see the Northern Lights! We would definitely come back! Thank you!

Super nice host!
Very nice host, comfortable house and convenient location (10min to downtown Escanaba). Towels/linens were great quality. House had vintage character details, I especially liked the old fashioned doorknobs.

Family reunion
Its a very nice house, lovingly updated, but it should not be advertised as a bath and a half. Even though the extra space was convenient, it was only one toilet. And the upstairs bedrooms are not accessible to elderly or disabled people.

Amazing Week
Pam was so helpful and responsive to any questions I asked. The house had all the amenities we needed and she even left some snacks and coffee for us to use. She gave us numerous recommendations for lunch/dinner which were all amazing. We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stay there again.

We had a great time. The house was a perfect home base for traveling around the Upper Peninsula to see nearby attractions. The beaches are close, and is about an hour drive to Pictured Rocks and Marquette.

Nice little house
It was a smaller, older house that was nice and clean. It had all the basic necessities to stay, cook basic meals, and lounge as we watched TV (Lots of channels). There was plenty of outdoor space to walk our dog out back of the house.

Mill House is cozy, comfortable, clean home & Great value!
Mill house is a wonderful home away from home. Pam is a welcoming responsive host. She has created a great home base and includes thoughtful extra treats with coffee, water & snacks. It’s absolutely better choice for stay than a hotel/motel. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend!!

Good location in UP
This property was a good location (under an hour) to see many lighthouses, waterfalls, and the “Big Spring”. Our cat also enjoyed the big backyard to explore and chase birds.
