This is the second time I've stayed at The Social Hub in Glasgow. I was slightly less impressed this time, but that may partly be because last time was particularly good so I had high expectations. The room was small but reasonably well laid out. The view was of a building directly across the street, so I couldn't have the curtain open if I wanted any privacy - a sheer privacy curtain to allow in natural light would have been very appreciated. I had some issues with tech while there - the TV (which, side note, was slightly crooked on the mount) wouldn't sync up with my phone four the Chromecast, so I couldn't stream my own things into it. The Social Hub app also didn't recognize my email, so I had a hard time using laundry machines. One staff was very helpful with setting me up with machines; but the second time I did laundry, the staff wanted to fix my email in the system, which took a very long time and was frustrating when I just needed a final load of washing done before leaving the next day. Ultimately it still worked out, but it wasn't a great experience. The light by the mirror over the sink was very dim, even with the mirror light on. It was okay for me, but would likely irritate anyone who wants to do makeup. I had breakfast in my reservation this time, and while I'm not a big fan of breakfast buffets, this one was pretty good, with all the makings of a Scottish breakfast, and included some options for those with dietary restrictions, like vegan sausage.

What a unique experience in downtown Glasgow! Loved everything about this hotel from the very friendly staff to the outstanding breakfast buffet. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

A bit dorm-like but a good value. It was fine for an overnight but I’d prefer something a bit nicer if staying in Glasgow multiple days. FYI the Cranberry Cafe down the road is fast, friendly and fairly priced.

Quirky touches such as exposed brick work and unfinished ceilings may be contemporary, however not having a sink in the bathroom nor even a shelf were taking quirky too far. Very young and cool staff but delay in delivering breakfast was intolerable and caused us to almost miss our train (had to take breakfast with us)

Cool hotel right in the heart of the city walking distance from the main bus and train stations with plenty of bars and restaurants around. Great staff, happy and helpful & good gym. Had everything I needed for a great stay, definitely a great brand.
