Groovy on Grey | Central Location with Spa Pool

Summary:
Style, space, convenience... Groovy on Grey is a bright and welcoming retreat. Equipped with everything you need, the house boasts open plan kitchen and dining, providing a social living space. The house is fantastically located for a visitor to the city being just a short walk or drive in either direction to a number of our favourite attractions. There is a great bistro up the road for your morning coffee and brunch (Urbano), or jump on your bike and be at the Redwoods in minutes.

The Space:
The master bedroom features a luxurious king bed, while the remaining three bedrooms each offer comfortable queen beds. With two full bathrooms and a separate laundry equipped with a washer and dryer, the home is set up for a comfortable and convenient stay. Step outside to a huge backyard with a spa pool—ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring Rotorua.

Guest Access:
You'll have access to the whole house including the garage.

Groovy on Grey is located in Glenholme, a quiet, leafy suburb just minutes from Rotorua’s city centre, offering a great balance of convenience and charm. We had a wonderful stay at this spacious and quiet property, perfectly laid out with all the amenities we needed. The linen and towels were fresh and clean, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. Our only minor suggestion would be to ensure the curtains are hung properly - a small detail that would elevate the already professional presentation. Despite this, we'd highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Great value for the experience!

Nice house in a quiet but convenient neighborhood

We enjoyed our short stay in the middle of a quiet neighborhood that was a quick drive to everything in town. The house was as advertised; spacious and clean. Our stay was too short to really settle in, but we had everything we needed while we were there.

We enjoyed our stay at groovy on grey. It was a wonderful location. It is a spacious house. It does have a bit of a musty smell. The kitchen had all we needed for our stay. It was close to everything in town. We needed another fan and it was there first thing in the morning. They are very quick to communicate with you.

Great location

The property was in an ideal location on a quiet street, and parts of the interior had been nicely updated. It had plenty of room for two couples and could have fit several more. The beds are comfortable and the AC worked well. Our main issue was the washer and dryer which need to be replaced. The wash machine was hit and miss on spinning (90% miss) and the dryer timer does not work causing a severe fire hazard (the dryer would not turn off on its own). Other than that frustrating issue we really liked the property and would recommend it.

.had to get in touch with property manager. Had to find breaker box and fix. Think this may be a recurring problem. Can’t run washer and dryer at the same time without blowing a fuse.Overall good.

Nice but photos are a bit deceiving

We (husband, me, son, girlfriend) had a nice stay while we spent a long holiday weekend in Rotorua. That said, the house is in need of updating - the bathroom fixtures are rusted, the mattresses are very uncomfortable, and the bedding was not at all soft and inviting. The kitchen and living room were very nice and easy to use and well-stocked with a big tv and newish appliances. Because of rainy weather, we didn’t use the hot tub but it looked nice. The host was lovely to work with. She even extended our stay last minute at a slight discount which we appreciated. There’s a bakery and dairy a short walk away but getting into town and to the adventure activities does require a drive. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood- nice to come back to after a day of hiking, zip lining, etc.

This is a great location that is central to Rotorua. Of course, if you have a car, nothing in Rotorua is far to get to!The spa was a welcome extra - wish we could have used it more .Would definitely book this place again.

Really great place in good location

Central Beauty

Amazing property! Clean, tidy, and warm. The rooms are big and spacious as is the whole house. Located on a quiet street that’s central to everything i.e. shops, restaurants, attractions. Would definitely recommend. The dryer may need maintenance as it took hours to dry clothes. Lucky it was a sunny day and used the clothes line after.
