It could be something much better but the hotel is very old the bathrooms are outside and if you have a need to go to the bathroom in the early morning you have to leave your room
The rooms were clean and the property felt refreshed and new. Parking was only issue, minimal spots so had to park away from property which was not ideal. Shared bathrooms should not inhibit your decision to stay
Got locked outside after 11pm cause bar staff during check in didn’t advise about after hours entrance- lift never work you have to lift luggage upstairs 3 floors, deposit of $100 not refunded, staff advise they do refunds. Staff not very helpful very rude.cleaning lady especially. Never again I chose Ibis instead no deposit good car park professional staff
Since I last stayed the hotel has had an upgrade. The ensuite room I had was very comfortable with an especially lovelu ensuite bathroom. The roomhad everything needed, including earplugs thoughtfully privided.The restaurant too was spacious and very attractive with a great varied menu.
The lift was 'quaint' (and historic) - a real novelty.
Yes, the Hotel has been renovated and modernised but still not computer friendly. No where to set up laptop and settle in. I stayed in an Ensuite room last year and still no area to set up. They moved a small table in for the second day which I could sit on the bed and use my laptop.
Great stay at Hotel Gosford.very clean rooms and even the shared bathrooms were maintained well.Mel and Allison from the housekeeping department were ensuring that we had everything sorted and the lovely staff at the front desk were forever answering queries with a smile and extremely helpful.2 mins walking distance from the gosford railway station,woolworths and lots of eateries...not to forget the great music and food at the Hotel itself...this one is the go to place in Gosford.
This is such a great property in a perfect location, I absolutely loved every single bit of my stay with my mother. Rooms were fabulous and affordable. Staff on check in went above and beyond, I look forward to returning.

Loud, room feels like jail cell, aircon set to 22°C and can't change that and it was very hot, window doesn't open, bed very uncomfortable. When I tried to explain to the man ager (next morning), she got defensive and rude and didn't want to hear my point. Luckily they had no trouble letting us cancel the second night of our stay and we found a more suitable place.
Cleanliness was outstanding. Comfortable but basic rooms. Share bathrooms tastefully renovated, very clean & 4 per floor (but not advertised). Minimal parking & was fully taken & had to walk a long way to find off-street parking. Had to move car during the day & find space for overnight off-street parking.
Food availability was great. Staff was friendly. Room is excellent.

Arrive early request early check in unfortunately lady at the bar /no reception venue said no go somewhere come back at 2pm we go no room for luggage rack and she turned away very rude staff ever seen in hotel setting- they don’t deserve a rating at all low class staff no hospitality training
