Very nice hotel in the quaint Gothic Quarter. Not accessible by car, but easily walkable from drop off point. Very clean, staff is competent. Would recommend anyone wanting to stay in the Gothic and wanting and above average accommodation.

Catalonia Avinyo was a quality hotel with all of the standard room amenities such as available coffee or tea in room, ironing & board, slippers, robes, etc. Additionally the bathroom was large and updated. The only negative was its location which made it inconvenient to get taxis.

Perfect location during our stay in Barcelona. We had a beautiful upgraded room just off the lobby in the adjacent court yard. Front desk was very helpful in suggestions for sightseeing and dining. Morning breakfast buffet was delicious served in the lower level in a quant dining room. Wonderful selection of breakfast items to meet everyone’s desires. The location was perfect in visiting the many sites of Barcelona. Definitely will consider our next visit!!

Our dream vacation.
We were very happy with the Catalonia. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was great. Unfortunately due to the location of the hotel very little light gets into the room. There are no rooms with a view which was OK as we were out and about most of the time. There is a small roof top pool which is nice and sunny but the view is of roof tops. The Goth area streets are very narrow and very little vehicular traffic. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. We would stay again.

Very small room
I am usually a happy guest at all the hotels I visit! But Very very small room for a double - bed 120 cm - window facing the corridor infront of the room Asked for a new room but they were not available even though its was suggested I would get a better one after the first night. The plus side is that the hotel is very well located and clean
