Mislead Description
If you are renting this house to experience Acadia, pack for the day. It takes close to an hour to get to the visitor center of Acadia National Park. 15 miles as listed is a mislead description of the location of this house. The house did accommodate 7 adults and 2 children, however the clutter made it difficult to move about. We rearrange exercise equipment and tables to make it safer for the 2 year old to walk around. We returned one day to a smoke detector going off and reached out to our contact person with no reply. We appreciated all the hot water and towels. The house could stand a deep cleaning.

Charming indeed!
Had a great stay at Bill's large, charming home. A bit on the older side in terms of decor and amenities, but no complaints and a good value. Bill was communicative via text and the 3rd party platform Evolve was also helpful with confirmations etc.

Our stay in Maine
The house was so unique and beautiful! Our host left lots of information for us on things to do during our stay. The house had everything we needed to enjoy a few days near Acadia. We were far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and the drive to other side of Acadia was very scenic. We enjoyed exploring the Schoodic area as well. Overall we loved it. Perfect for a family!

Incredible Host!
Of all the VRBOs I’ve stayed in, I’ve never encountered a host that was so attentive to the needs of their guests. Bill truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. His house is charming, and in a great location for the quieter parts of Acadia National Park. The drive to Bar Harbor is about 50 minutes with lots to do and see along the way. We look forward to coming back and visiting the area again.

Great family vacation home
My family and I had a wonderful stay. We were looking to stay together in a cozy, unique home that had space, felt safe but where we could have fun. We did drive a bit to get to Bar Harbor but didn’t mind so much. Appreciated this vacation very much!

Great location to Explore Acadia
Communication with owner was exceptional. We worked through a few issues without delay. House is on a busy road - keep a close eye on children and there will be some road noise on that side of house at night. Lots of art on the walls, plenty of beds, well appointed kitchen. Only downside was only 1 bathroom for our group. Would stay again!

The house was very cozy. Bathroom upstairs would be difficult with someone with disabilities
It was a very easy process. Thought cost of maintenance was high.
