The Chalet du Chef was rebuilt in 2016 and luxuriously furnished (eg Miele kitchen). The photos show the stand end of 11/2017. It is intended for guests that even on vacation not in sufficient area (250 square meters) and the amenities they have at home, want to do without.

Switzerland and expensive? Yes, that is so, if you want to experience something other than the known mass tourism. However, the prices of the Chalet du Chef are competitive with any holiday resort in Austria, Germany and France - but the performance and quality offered is at 5-star level.

We offer for an additional charge and after prior clarification in addition to:
- Daily cleaning and bedding service
- Daily cook service (with food as you wish)

The living rooms are sunlit and with large panoramic
Equipped windows. The Chalet du Chef is luxuriously equipped (whirlpool, Miele kitchen, Siemens washing machine, tumbler / dryer etc.) and the furniture is completely new.

At Chalet du Chef is a spacious, modern and tastefully furnished holiday chalet Luxury for max. 9 adults (3 double-bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 1 sofa bed (2 pers.) And 2 children who want to stay "Children cave" of about 15 square meters in a convenient to 1.80 (hedged). The chalet has consistently floor heating, 2 large living rooms, one with an open kitchen (Miele appliances); two modern wood stoves, sufficient parking, hot tub, WiFi, satellite TV, Swisscom TV, etc.).

Discover your holiday in Grächen views of the mountains around 4000 and - in summer - many designated trails. arrived with the unique fairytale gondola Hannig, opened in the winter the ski resort 42 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty. Ski buses take you to the 20 km distant Zermatt.

The chalet is located at about 1. 500 m altitude with panoramic views of the mountains of the Valais Alps in a quiet location on the edge of the forest in Niedergrächen. Neighbors can not interfere, not least because of the large natural property (approximately 7 500 square meters). For plenty of parking is provided in front of the chalet. The accessibility is collected regularly. However, for safety's sake snow chains or an all-wheel-drive vehicle should be used in snow and ice due to the steep Driving. Prachtig, luxe huis op mooie locatie, alleen lastig te komen met gewone auto zonder 4x4
We hebben genoten van het prachtige huis, alle luxe aanwezig, behalve magnetron, wat niet handig was voor het maken van flesvoeding voor de baby. De weg naar het huis toe is erg stijl en zit vol gaten, met een gewone auto (zonder 4x4) kun je hier nauwelijks komen, de bandenslijtage is groot. Met grote vaart kwamen we de weg ingereden, maar door de kuilen in de weg, ging de snelheid eruit en lukte het nauwelijks om boven te komen. De eigenaar van het huis heeft nog opdracht gegeven om wat aan de weg te doen, maar dit hielp niet. Beneden aan de weg kon er geparkeerd worden, maar het valt niet mee om met al je bagage of boodschappen naar boven te lopen. Hopelijk wordt de weg verhard, dan komen wij misschien nog eens terug, want het huis is verder geweldig! Wat verder erg jammer was dat de beheerder van het huis geen engels sprak, dit bevorderde de communicatie niet.

Relaxing, calm, beautiful views, and fun family get-away in nature
We LOVEd our stay at Walter's place in Grächen! It was just as we imagined with some amazing views in a comfortable house. We appreciated all of the kitchen resources including a raclette grill, plenty of wine and beer glasses, and more. We loved the balcony to relax and take in the views and nature surrounding the house. We also appreciated that the bus stop was so close to go to both Grächen and Zermatt. We highly recommend this house.

Awesome house & area
The house is modern, has everything needed, very comfortable for a big group with nice common areas but also allowing privacy between all people. The only piece which is not very conformable is the hill heading to the house which is very steep and can only be accessed on a 4x4. The help and support from the owner and the local person who takes care of the chalet was incredible. We highly recommend this place. Graechen is a very tourist friendly area, and even the bus drivers were very nice to us and taking care on all we needed.

Modernes Chalet mit viel Platz
Wir haben unseren Aufenhalt im Chalet du Chef sehr genossen. Der Platz ist grosszügig und für jedes Zimmer gibt es ein eigenes Bad. Toller Umschwung. Der Bezitzer und die Schlüsselverwalterin waren immer sehr behilflich und haben auf unsere Anliegen sofort reagiert. Ein 'Paint Point' ist die steile Anfahrt. Dies hat der Besitzer aber bereits vor Mietvertrag offen und transparent kommuniziert. Wir sind mit einem 4*4 ohne Schneeketten (aber mit viel Schwung) fast jeden Tag hochgekommen. An einem Tag war es allerdings zu eisig und der Vermieter hat dann am nächsten Tag Kies streuen lassen, damit es mit der Hochfahrt wieder klappte.

De Chalet was proper en groot genoeg, had een prachtig zicht op de bergen. Spijtig dat de toegangsweg naar de chalet zeer slecht was en 2 van de 3 auto's konden de helling niet op door de slechte staat van de weg

Großzügiges Chalet mit schöner Aussicht
Großzügiges, gut ausgestattetes Chalet in toller Lage am Waldrand, so dass wir die schönen Wanderwege vom Haus weg genießen konnten. Sehr gute Kommunikation. Die Auffahrt zum Chalet ist aber mit normalem Zweiradantrieb nicht zu schaffen.

Tolles Haus als Basis zum Skifahren in Grächen
Sehr viel Positives zu diesem Haus: - Riesiges Haus mit viel Platz für Familien und Gruppen, insbesondere mit Kindern - Gut ausgestattete Küche im der such auch gut Festessen für 10+ Personen möchten lassen - Tolle Aussicht - Warm und gemütlich - Modern und qualitativ gut ausgestattet - Freundlicher Vermieter und gute Kommunikation zum Besuch - Anbindung an das Skigebiet Grächen mit dem Skibus in ca 15 Minuten ist zu Fuss in ca 20-25 Minuten - Schöner Wald zum Wandern/Spazieren direkt hinter Haus - Top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis Zwei Dinge, die verschiedene Besucher mehr oder weniger stören mögen: - Die Auffahrt ist mit dem Auto Abenteuerlich. Man sollte bereit sein die letzten paar Meter bergauf zu Fuss zu gehen. - Die Beleuchtung im Wohn- und Esszimmer ist eher zum gemütlichen Zusammensein als zum Lesen brauchbar. In Zweifelsfall ein paar Leselichter mitbringen.

Ruhe, Natur pur und ein gepflegtes Haus
Chalet du Chef hält was es verspricht: Gepflegtes Haus, gut eingerichtet, auch in der Küche alles vorhanden, was Selbstkocher brauchen (etwas wenig Schüsseln). Die Zufahrt (steile Schotterpiste) ist tatsächlich auch im Sommer nicht ohne. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge - allerdings kaum direkt vom Haus aus (Auto erforderlich).

Geweldige chalet
Rustig gelegen...de weg ernaar is wel zeer verraderlijk in de winter met ijsvorming op de gravelweg die zeer steil is . over een afstand van 400 meter..en dus met auto moeilijk te doen om tot boven te geraken.....zeer ruime chalet met zeer uitgebreide keuken met alles erop en eraan...ook veel ruimte.....tot max 8 personen... beddengoed en meer handdoeken zou fijn zijn.

Sehr grosszügiges Chalet, schwierige Zufahrt
Das Chalet ist an einer Wunderbaren Lage in Niedergrächen, sehr grosszügig, mit jeglichem Komfort ausgestattet. Die Zufahrt ist jedoch ohne 4x4 kaum möglich, da neuen Schotter auf dem Zufahrtsweg ausgebreitet wurde. Zudem ist der Weg sehr steil Zum Glück hat es genügend Parkmöglichkeiten bei der Einfahrt zum Weg. Die Hauswartin haben wir kaum gesehen, weshalb wir vor allem bei der Ankunft zu wenig Informationen bezüglich der Küche, Bedienung Licht und Schalousien hatten. Jedoch waren wir insgesammt sehr zufrieden und können dieses Haus jedermann weiter empfehlen.

Tolles Chalet
Das Chalet macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Die Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Man hat genügend Platz und kann sich auch bei schlecht Wetter gut im Haus verweilen. Für uns hat alles wunderbar gepasst. Wir empfehlen es zu 100% weiter.

Sehr komfortables Chalet, tolle Ausstattung, tolle Lage
Wir haben als Familie den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Sowohl die Kommunikation im Vorfeld als auch die Schlüsselübergabe war sehr unkompliziert und alles hat prima geklappt. Das Chalet ist wirklich sehr toll ausgestattet, absolut sauber und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Für die Kinder war die "Schlafhöhle" / "Räuberhöhle" einfach perfekt geeignet. Die Auffahrt ist - wie vom Vermieter beschrieben - tatsächlich recht steil und wir sind mit unserem Nicht(!)-Allrad-PKW und ohne Schneeketten bei leichtem Schneefall an einem Tag nicht mehr hochgekommen. Aber unten sind genug eigene Parkplätze vorhanden und man kann den Rest laufen, sodass wir uns das Aufziehen der Schneeketten gespart haben. Für unseren nächsten Schweiz-Aufenthalt werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder bei diesem Chalet nachgucken, ob der gewünschte Zeitraum noch frei ist.

Beautiful home with well equipped kitchen
Beautiful home. We had a fantastic stay with our big family for our skiing trip. The kids played with nice toys that were in the apartment. The kitchen had great appliances and cookware. Also the beds were very comfortable. The only thing to consider (we knew this on forehand, because it is clearly stated in the description and other reviews) is that the road to the house is very steep and slippery in winter and can only be driven on with for a 4x4 car. The walk uphill is about 150 meters. The house is very suitable for big families.

Super ausgestattete Unterkunft
Das Haus war wunderbar. Top Ausstattung, insbesondere in der Küche. Erstklassige Geräte, insbesondere der Ofen und der Konvektomat. Das Haus hat eine schöne Atmosphäre zum wohlfühlen. Die Bäder sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Bei Elf Personen, muss man wegen des Warmwasser-Vorrats die Waschgänge ein wenig Planen. Die Straße zum Haus ist im Winter in der Tat etwas schwierig, aber unten gibt es Parkplätze. Die Anfahrtsbeschreibung könnte etwas genauer sein, insbesondere eine genaue Adresse oder Koordinaten wären toll. Aus unserer Sicht wäre es besser, wenn das Bett anstatt in der Wohnküche oben im Wohnzimmer stehen würde, da die Wohn-Küche eher spät und früh genutzt wird und das Wohnzimmer eine gute Ergänzung zur Wohnküche, aber nicht essentiell ist. Fazit: Insgesamt eine tolles Haus mit sehr hochwertiger Ausstattung. Wir werden sicherlich gerne wieder kommen.
