located in the woods very quiet and peaceful
nice experience the family run hotel was very pleasant the staff were great nothing was a problem even though i arrived late in the night Helda was prepared to make me something to eat . i was too tired and i did not think it was fair to put her through all that trouble. i will definately come back

Great Stay in the middle of nowhere
Clean, friendly staff, B-fast included, it has his own restaurant. They were very accommodating, after an unpleasant experience at another hotel we came back to Gasthous and they allowed us early check in and even to have bfast that morning, it was a relief to find again Gasthous. Will go back and stay again!!

Das Hotel für Biker im Thüringer Wald
Für Biker (motorisiert oder mit Pedale) das ideale Hotel mitten im Thüringer Wald. Abends gibts es leckeres Essen mit ausreichender Abwechslung. Das Bier ist sehr lecker, die Bedienung ein Original. Das Motorrad stand gut beschützt in der kostenlosen Garage.

Toute est parfait, sentiment d'être chez soi, un hôtel familial, chaleureux, des gens très sympathiques, bonne nourriture, je le conseille vivement d'y venir, seul où en famille :le parc naturel de Thuringen est tout autour, et sur les hauteurs, super 🏔️👌

sehr angenehmes Hotel im Thüringer Wald
Wir waren leider nur 1 Nacht da, aber es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war groß, hübsch und vor allem sauber, ebenfalls das Bad. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Seniorchefin (meine Guadste) Spitze. Wir können das Gasthaus Steiger nur weiterempfehlen.

Hotel ok - Geruch und Freundlichkeit mangelhaft
Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr veraltet und würde eine Erneuerung gut vertagen können. Unser Zimmer haben wir sauber vorgefunden. Leider hat es durchweg sehr nach "Stinkefuß" im Zimmer gerochen, was wahrscheinlich aus dem alten fleckigen Teppich ausdünstet. Das Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt - nur die Betten wurden gemacht. Negativ aufgefallen ist uns die "Freundlichkeit" der älteren Inhaberin, die uns und die Gäste wenig freundlich bedient und "keifig" bedient hat. Hotel Restaurant: An sich lecker - nur unsere Kartoffeln wurden in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt ("Ping" war zu hören) und haben dementsprechend schlecht geschmeckt.
