Worst room that I've ever had in Tusayan. Very loud ice machine located right across the hall; the room was dark and looked like it was furnished in the 1970s; where there should have been Grand Canyon pictures on the wall, there were simply nails. I think that I got the room that was reserved for 3rd party payers (Travelocity, please note this).

...would recommend for ANYONE wanting to stay at the south rim of the grand canyon without staying at Grand Canyon Village. This resort was an excellent value. The grounds were impeccable. It's close to everything you need including the IMAX where you can watch the history of The Grand Canyon on full display. The restaurants nearby are good and accommodating. Also, the Squire Resort has very SPACIOUS pet friendly rooms! We travel with our 60 lb Sheepadoodle and it was great for him also! 10/10 for a Grand Canyon stay!

a wonderful hotel. I liked that in the evening you can roast marshmallows around the campfire, Arkady room is what diversified our evenings, since it was cold outside in November and I don't want to sit in the room after dinner. In summer, it's probably good that you can walk to the pool, we had to run from another building in the cold. A very cozy restaurant, but the waiters were tortured and we chose this restaurant to eat steaks, but we didn't have enough of them, although they were eaten at the next table and this upset us greatly, since we were for healthy food and had to give the children pizza and burgers, I took a salad, but the price was for leaves with cheese and sauce without chicken, 15.99 is high, they added chicken to it and the price increased even more. There is also little choice of dishes. We had to leave the hotel and have lunch at the restaurant, but we liked the hotel so much and we were sure that the food would be of high quality. That's the only thing that upset me.

My only complaint is the number of dogs but this is more about one dog. A family left their dog in the room and it barked for the entire time until they finally returned at 2100. The hotel management did nothing about this issue and was not even on site when the family returned. There was almost a brawl in the hallway as the family returned and was as rude as their pet. Hotel did litte to mitigate this issue.
