there was food left in the refrigerator and only had 1 washcloth and no hand towels. I've always loved Bib Horn Lodge. We have stayed here for over 15 years.

The room was dirty. The staff allowed a visitor to a guest park across multiple parking spaces and then allowed them to “party” late into the night. Would not recommend. There are plenty of other places to stay in Grand Lake.

I thought it was perfect. Very close to the park. Didn’t have to drive through town to get to my room. The bed was very comfy hot water. I felt safe had a lot of fun and saw a lot of baby moose:)

When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. The room keys were just laid out with last names. We weren't sure what to do. Finally someone came down to help. Went to room and it was not very clean, it was outdated and we always check beds and seen BED BUGS on the bed. Bathtub still had dried shampoo and soap from previous people. Didn't look anything like the pictures on the website. Called several times and finally spoke with Corey who said he had left the property and he apologized and said he would refund us our full amount when he returned to the property. It was the full amount for the 3 nights we reserved since I advised I would not be staying there 10 minutes after arriving. We had to move on and find another place to stay at 3:00 in the afternoon. I sent an email requesting confirmation on the refund and no response. I have tried calling and only got voicemail which I have left messages and no response. We do not see a credit on our card as of yet. The customer service from this place is terrible. For the amount of this hotel per night, which includes a cleaning fee, I expected better conditions. The overall experience doesn't even deserve 1 star. Unfortunately not sure how to handle this since we had to leave the area to find a place to stay and we are out money on this and didn't even stay one night with them. GOOD LUCK!

Basic clean and pleasant place to stay. Disappointed that the Rocky Mountain National Park road through to Estes Park is still closed. Not the fault of Big Horn Lodge though.

We have stayed here before but this time it was EXTREMELY bad, THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!! The office was opened but no one was there, my key was left at the counter and they switched my room last minute. I had paid for double beds, no one would answer the phone until I ended up calling the cell phone number listed in a card. My room got corrected but the room had been previously slept in, one of the beds was not completely made, there was no hand soap, shampoo or tissue paper. There was a used towel in the shower and used soap. During the night my husband and I started to itch. The next day my husband started showing bite marks consistent with bed bugs, I didn’t notice them until late Sunday night and even more the following day. I have called multiple times and left voice mails and no returned calls. Bad service all around!!!

I had to change my plans. Between Expedia not being helpful and property unwillingness to allowing me to change the date (Called with plenty time in advance) I ended up not staying and paying for the stay. It sucked not to be helped to make things work out!

Vigil ice fishing trip
Most everything met our expectations. We would have liked some staff interaction to get ice or extra trash bags. The room was clean, comfortable and had great location within town, close to lakes.

Room was fine, but management was not satisfactory
The room was a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The biggest problem was that NO ONE manned the office. There was a person there when we checked in, but no one the next four days! The problem we had was our room card worked the first day, and then would not work again. Went to the office and of course, no one there. We were lucky to come across a maintenance man that understood very little English and got him to understand that we could not open our room. He then got us a wrist fob to open and keep for our room. I am guessing it was a fob to open any room for it worked on a room next to us when we tried it out of curiosity, but of course never entered any other room. How unsecure though if not given to someone trustworthy like ourselves. I had left a phone message about our situation before we found the maintenance man, but never got a return call during our stay. Very little parking lot, so be prepared to park along the street. Hot tub extremely little and fits maybe three adults. It was only about half way full until our last evening, when it was finally filled up.
