Ok
The cons: washing, drying and folding bed linens, bringing the trash to the local firehouse dumpster, owner’s insistence on receipt of a signed rental agreement before he will send the door code (even if you must go out of your way to send it on your vacation). Also the bathroom in the main bedroom has a tiny shower that will soak the floor if you are not careful in aiming the shower head away from the shower door on getting in. The furnace sounds like a locomotive in the middle of the night and disturbs your sleep, and the washer shakes the whole house when spinning.
I did delay through forgetfulness in sending the rental agreement. The owner didn’t send useful instructions on how to find the dumpsters for your trash until we were leaving and we didn’t even see his text. The lake views are nice but the house faces west and the lake is south. The overall neighborhood is so-so in my opinion but it’s close to Rocky Mountain National Park and the cabin is private. There are no useful amenities in Grand Lake.
The owner seems like a friendly well-meaning guy. But he expects too much from his guests, including a $59 insurance policy against damage.
