Newly-remodeled cabin, walk into town or to Lodge! Gorgeous views & great wi-fi!

Enjoy the beautiful views from our gorgeous, recently-renovated -- new floors, granite countertops, stainless appliances, and sectional sofa -- cabin home, 'in town' and just a short walk to either Grand Lake or Shadow Mountain Lake. Secluded enough to ensure plenty of peace and quiet, you won't find it unusual to see moose, elk, foxes, and other wildlife feeding on our wildflowers during the morning/evening.

Grand Lake is a quaint historic town that serves as the western 'less-crowded' entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park -- access to the park is a short 100-yard walk from our cabin! -- and provides an abundance of both summer & winter activities. Golfing, boating, swimming, fishing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, along with the many restaurants, ice cream shops, gifts shops, live theater, and social events in town make this an ideal summer vacation.

Our 2BR/2BA home can accommodate up to 6 adults, has been equipped with designer bedding & hand-selected furnishings to convey a 'contemporary rustic' feel. The master bedroom offers a queen bed w/ private bath, the 'kids' room offers a twin/full bunkbed with trundle, and the new sectional sofa in the family room. For those who want to stay connected we have our own free wi-fi connection for you to enjoy fast and secure browsing and streaming.

A most wonderful home...in every way
The home was, as mentioned on the site, most comfy and welcoming. There obviously was careful thought in making the home have anything one could need during a visit. It is the first time I ever stayed in a place that actually even had a generator (if need be). Honestly, none of us wanted to leave as it just felt like home. There are numerous games for any age range and also all the cooking utensils, equipment for making a Thanksgiving dinner. There is nothing that was overlooked in the planning of this home for guests! But most important was the general "feel" of the home....warm, inviting and festive (with many decorations already in place). Oh...the other very important distinctive feature of this house is the views which are amazing from every large window in the main area, spanning the kitchen, dining area and living room! I can just imagine being there in the summer and spending time on the deck, which overlooks the lake and all the beautiful surrounding areas! Additionally, I have never encountered such an incredibly helpful host! Joe was available and helpful throughout our stay, with every need or question we had. It is most obvious that he wants people to enjoy their stay in his lovely home and ensures that everything is perfect for his guests. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful home this is and when you couple that with such helpful hosts, you know you have found a winner! We already are talking about returning in the summer.

Cozy cabin with views, close to RMNP
We wanted a gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and that lead us to Grand Lake. This property is up above the town with amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It is minutes from the West park Entrance. Even in late October, there are still a bunch of parts of the park that are still accessible, and no special passes required. The cabin has everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped, and spacious. The family area is spacious and comfortable. The decor is all wildlife, which is our personal favorite. Joe was so easy to with, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property!

Anniversary Week
My husband and I stayed in this property for a week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cabin was very comfortable, had everything we could possibly need and was absolutely spotless. The view was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The location is quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed going into RMNP and the Grand Lake area. Communication with the host was excellent. He provided us with eating suggestions as well as things to do in the area. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. It is located in a peaceful and beautiful area. The view was amazing and relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked, the bed was perfect, the only thing that could have made it better was another weeks stay! Thank you for allowing us to rent your cabin.

Ok
The cons: washing, drying and folding bed linens, bringing the trash to the local firehouse dumpster, owner’s insistence on receipt of a signed rental agreement before he will send the door code (even if you must go out of your way to send it on your vacation). Also the bathroom in the main bedroom has a tiny shower that will soak the floor if you are not careful in aiming the shower head away from the shower door on getting in. The furnace sounds like a locomotive in the middle of the night and disturbs your sleep, and the washer shakes the whole house when spinning. I did delay through forgetfulness in sending the rental agreement. The owner didn’t send useful instructions on how to find the dumpsters for your trash until we were leaving and we didn’t even see his text. The lake views are nice but the house faces west and the lake is south. The overall neighborhood is so-so in my opinion but it’s close to Rocky Mountain National Park and the cabin is private. There are no useful amenities in Grand Lake. The owner seems like a friendly well-meaning guy. But he expects too much from his guests, including a $59 insurance policy against damage.

Grand Lake Vacation
Family of five from Iowa. Cabin was extremely clean and the town of Grand Lake is beautiful, friendly and very quaint. Had a great time lounging at the cabin and walking thru the shops in town. Met some great people playing bingo in the town square on Saturday night as well. Awesome hiking trailheads were a stone's throw away so we didn't really need to go anywhere or prep for anything. The only annoyance was that the road leading to the cabin was extremely narrow due to construction on a new home in the area. The crew parked their trucks on the side of the road and getting in and out of the cabin was an adventure. Would definitely go back to this cabin and GL in the future!

Beautiful cabin
This cabin is lovely! Great location! Close to town, but up on the mountain ensuring quiet and privacy. Very close to the park entrance. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The house was very clean and the owners communicated very well with great recommendations. The hummingbirds at the feeders are amazing and there pretty much all day! We also saw multiple mama and baby deer in the yard. We love Grand Lake and would definitely return to this property.

Wonderful!
Beautiful views from back deck; hummingbirds frequented the feeder we put out. The hosts, Joe n Casey, were very nice, always offering any help with our stay. As vrbos go, this place is a jewel. The bed was so comfortable and the bed sheets were so soft and of high quality as were the towels. The master bath shower was a little small for my husband, so he used the guest bath tub/shower. The kitchen was well stocked with just about everything. The living room was perfect with a sofa that was comfortable and large enough to ly down on. Finally, we stayed at a vrbo that isn't furnished with old and worn second hand quality furniture. When you pay this kind of money for a vrbo, you expect great quality but do not always receive it. BUT this vrbo delivered in every way!! This vrbo was worth the money, is a first class place! Thanks, Joe n Casey for a great stay!

Smelly situation
We arrived on Christmas Eve with our family to frozen sewer. It was backing up in the showers and the stools upon you so we contacted the owner and we drove downtown to the library and use the public bathrooms that were open. Christmas Day still couldn't get a plumber, so the same situation the very next day the owner worked with us and got us in the condo downtown which was somewhat suitable. The owner worked hard at trying to get us taken care of. It was a bad situation and he there was no win for him Again I want to reiterate did everything he could for us

This place was amazing and the views did not disappoint for our girls trip. Coffee on the deck early am was breathtaking and spotting two Moose was a great start for the first am there. The cabin was well furnished and very modern with its decor and appliances. Looking for a place to relax and recharge you found it with this place in Grand lake.

Grand Lake Maid
The property is nice and we enjoyed our stay. A couple of things that I didn't like about our reservation. The first thing was after paying an initial deposit we were sent house rules which included how we were to put bedding and towels in the laundry and have clean before we leave! If i have to do laundry and pay a cleaning fee odds are I wont go back! The house was as clean when we left as when we arrived! The house cleaner wont have a thing to do other than make the bed! The biggest problem I have with the hole scenario is you are reliant on the last people who stayed there to make sure the bedding and towels are clean! I don't like that! Another thing I didnt care for was i had to haul trash into town to get rid of, not as big a deal but still a hassle that shouldn't have to happen. All of this and I still had a cleaning fee to pay!

Home away from home in Grand Lake
This was our second stay at Kigins' Cabin, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first one. The lovely house was clean, comfortable, relaxing and well-stocked. Owners Casey and Joe have recently added new kitchen appliances and a new sectional in the living room. They are excellent hosts who genuinely care about their guests' experience. The house is in a quiet, hilltop (so accessed by steep road!) neighborhood literally three minutes from downtown Grand Lake, and Mountain Market grocery store is even closer. If you want a great home base on the "quiet side" of RMNP with quick access to the park, this is the place for you. Special note for hummingbird lovers: if you visit during hummer season, you'll love all their activity around the two feeders on the deck!

The cabin is a good size with a very well stocked kitchen, very convenient to town and RMNP. The only downside is it is not walking distance to town and the steep road would be a problem in winter.

Beautiful cabin in an amazing location!
The west entrance to RMNP is close by and is a much quieter and less traveled area of the park compared to the east side. This cabin is in a perfect location to hit some less populated trails and to go wildlife viewing in the meadows at dusk. Joe is an excellent host and checked in with us several times to be sure everything was alright. He also provided suggestions on restaurants and nearby trails to hike. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting the beauty and peace that it provides.

We loved this place! We came in town for a family reunion and spent 3 nights here. We didn't get a chance to cook/use the stove or grill as we were visiting other families around town, but everything seemed well stocked. The hummingbirds are incredible! The views are perfect. It cooled off enough at night to be comfortable. I recommend staying here. We were lucky that two more of our family stayed nearby. Super convenient to everything.

We found this cabin a great place for us! It was clean, had brand new appliances and a sectional couch, great view of the lake and mountains from the deck, and very close to town but not in the hustle and bustle of foot traffic. Another great visit!
This is our second visit to Kigin Kabin. Important to us are the convenient location, beautiful views, well stocked kitchen, 2 bathrooms, nice big space for gathering. It is light and bright and immaculately clean. Appreciate the excellent communication and quick responses from owner. Love the new appliances and other recent upgrades. Note to owner: You really should improve those 3 steps to the front door. It's difficult to navigate for everyone--especially one with even the slightest handicap.

The Kigin’s cabin was perfect for our family. The cabin itself is wonderful with beautiful views from the deck and living room. We played games and watched movies on the comfy sectional in the living room most nights. The cabin is very close to RMNP, which was so convenient as we went there several times. Joe was a great host and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. We loved our stay and would love to go back! Thank you!
