This little cabin on the Great Bay in Greenland is perfect! I can't say enough kind words about Perry Johnson, our host. He is so willing to do anything to make your stay perfect.
Because of allergies, we do all of our own cooking. So having a well stocked kitchen is important to us. There is everything you could want in this kitchen. Dishes, glasses, bowls, pans, pans, pans, bakeware, storage containers, silverware, knives, etc Lots of choices for grocery stores nearby and Portsmouth has a very nice, little farmers' market every Saturday morning. Washer and dryer in the basement. All of the equipment and the home has been lovingly maintained and is in good condition.
The neighbors are friendly, the views are spectacular, the atmosphere is peaceful and the house is well stocked with linens and supplies. The furniture is comfy and more than ample. There is a TV and cable access in every room. The wi-fi is fast. There are balconies off of both of the upstairs bedrooms. There is a huge porch with great furniture both front and back. There is a boat deck off the back of the property that is an easy walk down the stairs. We enjoyed sitting on it when the tide came in. Large gardens in the front of the house - I particularly loved the lemon thyme and all of the flowers that I picked for bouquets. We definitely enjoyed the wildlife - squirrels and chipmunks everywhere, driving in we've seen wild turkeys, a woodchuck, a turtle, and lots of birds, big bumblebees and beetles. Birds calling from off the Bay.
We did a lot of sightseeing using the cabin as our base. We traveled through New Hampshire, into Maine and south into Massachusetts. There are so many great historical sites to visit nearly and especially in Portsmouth. The shopping in Portsmouth was great.
Tons of unique little shops and many, many restaurants. And antique stores in every town. We celebrated our daughter's birthday while we were there and there was an amazing bakery just down the 33. The chocolate cake was killer.
We really fell in love with the cabin and Greenland. Thanks Perry for a lovely stay!!
