Change the carpet!
This place is in the best possible location in town. beautiful, friendly neighborhood with great restaurants and shops just outside the front door. The apartment is very sparsely furnished from Goodwill. The bed is basically a mattress on the floor with a very strange surrounding frame thing. there are 2 windows in the bedroom that look out at the dated building electrical connections. there are no other windows. the most important feature of this place is the very dated, dirty smelly old carpet. it is beyond cleaning and needs to be removed. I suggested this to the hostess perhaps there is nice floor under it. the entry, stairs and hallway are dirty and covered with old smelly carpet. I paid for two night and stayed only one. I truly just couldn't handle another night with that carpet! This place is a lot of things but it is certainly not "lovely"!
