In the heart of the Meatpacking District. Easy to get uptown or downtown via taxi or Uber. Close to the Highline. The hotel itself has larger than average rooms for NYC. It has great dining options, a pool, well appointed workout facility, friendly/helpful staff and the perfect location.

Location is very good for visitors to NYC. all HIP shopping and branded shops near by. Lots of car services near. Art all around this area. I’ll stay here again and again. Too bad the bars closes at 10pm which is kinda early for a cool hotel.

First I think the valet guy here is very switched on and was the most helpful person during our stay. We flew in from Europe and were up early due to the jetlag. We couldn't get coffee easily in the morning. Tried to order room service on two mornings to no fruition. Either we got sent to the voice mail or were told to wait till 8am. The hotel advertises as a luxury, five star category but it's very mid with facilities and the service. I have been travelling throughout my pregnancy - Marriott and IHG brands can accommodate my request for a pregnancy pillow but I got a note from Gansevroot pretty much saying you guys don't do pregnancy pillows. The price stickers and banners throughout the room gives a cheap motel feel. If you want to be a hip, cool hotel, try K5 in Tokyo. I feel like you're trying but failing with gimmicky gadgets and not enough basic essentials. Hotel guests are subsidizing the members club and the party goers staycationing here. We never received our welcome drinks / perk from Expedia either. I struggled mostly with the breakfast situation and minor inconveniences during my four nights stay.

For an expensive hotel, the service was sometimes grumpy. We had to ask three times for the third bed in our room to be made up which was very annoying because we got back quite late from going out and had to wait while they made the bed up I would say it is slightly dated/tired,the light switch broke in our room and only one USB port worked out of four Which was very annoying considering there were three of us in one room. Having said all that the pool and terrace at the top are really stunning. It is a great area to stay in.

This is hands-down my favorite place to stay in Manhattan because you can walk to shops and restaurants all around the hotel. They also have a heated rooftop pool with amazing views. It’s about three stops from Penn Station, and then a few hundred feet from the subway. The hotel rooms have always been clean and modern. The staff is so nice. I usually tip them even when I don’t have to because they’re so welcoming. I don’t want to stay anywhere else when I come to NY.
