Charming Farmhouse with Private Pool among Vineyards

This 320sqm charming farmhouse is beautifully set in the midst of vineyards with wonderful views across the Tuscan landscape.
It is located in the heart of the Nozzole estate, one of the historic producers of Chianti Classico, only 10 minute's drive from the lively town of Greve in Chianti. Greve with its lovely shops, bar and restaurants, is one of the best-known villages in the Chianti area, 30 minutes from Florence, and 50
minutes from Siena.

Hospitality Manager service and assistance are always guaranteed.

Ideal for families groups of friends or smart workers.
Comfortable for 10 people, 12 at the most.

Its strategic position makes it an ideal starting point for discovering the countless villages, churches, and wineries that make Tuscany so special.

Casa Vecchia di Nozzole is surrounded by a fenced garden which makes it perfect for children and dogs. The pool area with, an outdoor shower and good quality outdoor furniture is fenced and the private pool can be heated on request (max temp 21/25°). This makes it possible to swim in Springtime and Autumn.  Please consider that water won't reach over the 21° in cold days and 25° in hottest days.

The cottage has 4 double bedrooms with private bathroom, 1 studio (where 2 single beds or a double can comfortably be fitted), 1 separate toilet, 2 living rooms (one with fireplace, one with tv) and 2 covered verandas.
It may host up to 10/12 people.

Our suite on the ground floor has a deluxe king-size bed and a large en-suite bathroom with wheelchair access. All other bedrooms are king size convertible into twins (except for one).

For people with mobility difficulties or in wheelchairs, please ask and specify at the inquiry what are your special needs as the house has some facilities but it is not fully accessible. If you let us know we will do our best to meet your needs.

There is wi-fi access at the property with a good connection which makes it ideal for smart working.

The private fenced garden contains several trees and a large centennial willow, which creates a shady and cool area by the pool.

One veranda provides an ideal outdoor space for alfresco dining on hot summer days. The other veranda in front of the pool is perfect for just lounging by the pool whilst enjoying the beautiful view and the relaxing atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside.

The property blends the charm of a traditional Tuscan country home with a more contemporary style. All rooms are furnished with antique
furniture and decorated with works of art, some recently created by local artists.
Although it has been restored to very high standards, it does not have the features of a 5 stars hotel. If you are looking for a peaceful place
with the charm of a country home, this is the perfect place for you!

The pool, open from March to November (opening and closing dates depend on the season) can be heated, making it possible for the bravest to swim in Spring and Autumn too. Please note that water temperature will reach 21° to 25°max on the hottest days.
For opening of the pool in winter, the request must be made one month ahead. An extra charge of €150 will be applied and must be paid upon arrival.

Do not miss to reserve your visit and wine tasting at our new tasting room. Favorable prices for the wine tasting and on the purchase of wine are offered to our guests. You can book in advance, or on arrival, via our Hospitality Manager who also takes care of guests making sure they experience a once-in-a-lifetime holiday!
Inside the house you will find shelves with our wines with their prices shown. They are for your consumption during your stay saving you asking or going down to the cellars to buy the wine. You can comfortably pay at the end of your stay.

Other information:
Upon arrival, guests will find complimentary food essentials. However, upon request, the winery’s cook could also prepare a simple and delicious welcome meal (to be booked in advance with our House Manager) or stock the fridge for you for at least a day or two. Please enquire when booking.

A Chef service and cooking classes may also be organized at the house upon request, well in advance of arrival. We will give you a list of our trusted chefs amongst whom you may choose.

We also recommend the very special truffle experience, with a truffle hunt, truffle talk, and truffle meal! And for the music lovers... the truffle show with professional musicians! Try not to miss this special and unique opportunity!

Any taxi service or tour of the area may be booked either before arrival or during your stay depending on the drivers availability, we will provide the contacts. A car is strongly recommanded to stay at Casa Vecchia di Nozzole and to move around the area. Should you feel like not driving, please consider we are in the middle of the countryside and there are no shops at walking distance. Therefore make sure you reserve your driver well in advance for all your travels (transfer, sightseeing, shopping and so on) as there is no taxi service at the estate and no staff available for driving.

As the property is part of an active winery, there is enough staff to be able to ensure prompt assistance for any problems that may occur. This is an added value not always possible in private houses.

We look forward to welcoming you !

Your stay in Tuscany
This property is fantastic if you want to enjoy the real Tuscan life. The Villa, pool is all that is advertised. Olivia is the property manager and makes your stay everything you could hope for. We spent an entire month with 6 guests per week. Morning day trips afternoons by the pool and evenings watching the sunset with the estates wines. It was a month to remember. Cheers Steve Enna

Items listed here are factual & true The check in process is to strict. Arrival time 4-6pm only! Or charged extra, the home is so remote they could of just left a key. You do not need a walk around intro if tight on time. The checkout tax is very odd. $2 euro per day per person . They want to come by and collect that in person the check out day . They are very concerned about collecting money if wine was drank from shelf. I understand all this, just was such a small amount we owed that they wanted to make sure they collected before departure. The tax on $2 euro person per day, I feel like you should get that in the fees collected and just don’t bother your guest with that petty amount, seems silly. Overall the stay was great !

Absolutley Perfect
If you are looking for a place in Tuscany this is it! Giulia, Angela and Oliva where great with communication. Giulia was our main contact and helped with what ever we needed during our stay. This home is located on a working winery and there are no neighbors close by. Has great views and the house has all the room you could ask for. We traveled as a group of 9 with a 14 and 7 year old and it was perfect. You will need to rent a car or have a driver if you plan on staying here but well worth it! Great central home base as its only 30 minutes to Florence and about an hour and a half from Pisa. Could not have had a better experience and was every thing we expected and more. Thank You!!!!!!!

Great place to stay with family
We stayed here with our family as a large group of 8 adults and 1 infant. The layout of the house worked great, each couple had their own room (even our daughter) and their own bathroom! Our daughter loved the pool and the property had everything we needed. The location was great, our group took day trips to explore Siena, Florence, and wine country. The winery on the property was also fantastic! A great place to say and I highly recommend it!

Relaxing Tuscany
Our family spent 4 nights at this beautiful villa. We all thought it luxuriously fitted out. Tasteful bedrooms, lovely sheets, plenty of crockery and cutlery and, most importantly, coffee! The pool was a godsend as the summer days were very hot. We loved it. We did not have a car (our choice) so organised transfers to wineries easily. Food can be delivered which is fabulous. Our hostess was very helpful

A Stay in Chianti
The villa is located on a large working vineyard that bottles 1.6 million bottles per year. Oliva, the exceedingly charming and professional property manager, is delightful and available 24/7 to help with the smallest of details. Any concerns were dealt within 18 hours. The place is a little antiquated, but to be expected when renting a very old stone house. If you are seeking the luxury and modern conveniences of the caliber found in a luxury hotel, then this is not the place for you. This is a house that is hundreds of years old! Overall, a very good stay.

Family 2022 Italy
We were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks at casa vecchio. The first week we spent with family and the second was with friends. We have rented numerous properties through the years but I can honestly say none were more enjoyable than our time at casa vecchia. The property is exactly as described if perhaps the description might understate the details . If you wish to have a base to tour many of the wonderful sites in Tuscany, this is perfect. The views are amazing and the proximity to the winery is a plus. However, the greatest gift is having Oliva as your host. We never had to ask twice for anything and , in fact, she anticipated many of our needs. If you look up the term hospitality in the dictionary, Oliva's picture should appear!

A Treat in Tuscany!
Casa Vecchia was exactly what we were hoping for. It was our first stop on a multi-city vacation to Italy and it set the tone beautifully. The villa was beautiful, perfectly appointed and wonderfully decorated. My husband and I, along with our adult children, had plenty of space to spread out and everything we needed to relax and get into the Italian frame of mind. We ate breakfast every morning on the lovely patio, went about our days wine-tasting and touring, then came home to a glass of wine and a swim every afternoon. The beds were divine, the pool was the perfect temperature and the welcome basket of food and fridge essentials were just right! The kitchen has everything you’d ever need and even the soap, specially made for the villa) smells incredible. Casa Vecchia is quiet and very centrally located for easy day trips and hopping into Greve for dinner or groceries. Oliva is the best! She greeted us upon arrival and went out of her way to help us with logistics, suggestions and anything we needed! She has amazing taste and knows the house inside and out, giving us the historic details and telling stories that made us love our stay even more. If you’re looking for a serene, comfortable, absolutely beautiful place to stay in the Greve area, I would definitely recommend this special location!

A week in tranquil paradise in Chianti
Beautiful property. The house was exactly as described, the home is charming, clean and quaint, and peaceful among the vineyard. It is a working vineyard so you can hear them working but it was not bothersome. The Wifi worked without issues and we did not experience any issues with the water pressure or temperature. Olive and Angela were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. We had a car (highly recommend you have a car as it is not walking distance to town etc) and we arranged transportation to/from dinner and to wine tastings in advance, which we recommend you do in advance as there are not that many drivers (no taxis) in the area. To sum it up, our stay was perfect and no question that we will try and stay here again.

The villa has so much charm and the views are stunning! It is great for families or larger groups--there is plenty of room for both sleeping and lounging. The property manager Oliva was wonderful. She was very helpful both before and during our stay. You do have to arrange for transportation into town but it is only a short car ride away and there is a grocery store and a number of restaurants. I would definitely recommend!

Misrepresentation is unacceptable
Overall the location was good and Olivia was extremely nice. However, in large part I booked this property because it advertised a bathtub on page 37 of 48 pictures online on this site of home away. I have an autistic child who loves bath tubs and this was a huge part of my decision. I thought I made a mistake but after took another look at the pictures and saw the picture where a bath tub is being promoted in the second double bedroom. For this I view this as mis representation and it is unacceptable. Other cons are unstable internet / highest speed was 14 MBPS but average was 12. When a few kids are streaming I had to drive down to the base of the hill for video conferencing. Unfortunately, I have to still be connected online due to work. Water Pressure: goes high and low and very hot and very cold. This is dangerous with little children. If the water pressure and temperature, internet, and bathtub were not issues this would easily have been 5 stars.

Molto Bella Casa Vecchia di Nozzole
Our family enjoyed an incredible week at Casa Vecchia di Nozzole. The property was clean and well furnished. Olivia, the property manager, was always available to assist with our needs. The property was well stocked with basics and Olivia provided a full pantry of breakfast items and wine at our request. The pool was heated and despite cool late October temperatures, we were able to enjoy some pool time. Niccola gave us a wonderful tour of the Folanari winery on site. The wines from the winery were especially enjoyable. Several trusted chefs were recommended by the property owners. Our chef, Daniele, made two incredible meals for us and was a pleasure to watch. He even let us help! We hired Mirco Orlandini as a driver for our group for the week. He was professional and courteous and expertly navigated the roads and highways. He brought us to some unexpected and lovely places that you will not easily find in the guidebooks. Overall, we could not have had a better week. Grazie Mille, Olivia, Niccola, Daniele, Mirco!

Outstanding Experience!
The property exceeded expectations! Our entire family - three generations of us - loved our 2 week stay at Casavecchia. The setting and location were great - the vineyard all around us - making it easy to visit the wonderful places and sites in Tuscany... and then the sheer joy of coming home to our villa each night for wonderful family dinners (interspersed by trips to some local restaurants for some great meals). The house was spacious and well appointed - giving people enough personal space to - as my grandchildren say - "chill". The pool was wonderful and was used by all for welcome relief from the heat. That all said... the property manger could not have been more helpful and delightful. Oliva not only made sure we were all comfortable and that things were OK in the house, she acted like an excellent concierge. She arranged dinners for us, arranged a tour and tasting at the winery, and she got us drivers to get all of 11 of us to the Paleo in Sienna (want to experience something exciting - see this!). Oliva is a star! We all hope to come back to the Villa again someday soon - this was truly a 5 star experience.

Magical stay at Casavecchia Di Nozzole.
I brought my family for one week in July to celebrate my 50th birthday and the stay was absolutely perfect. We were 8 adults and my 9 year old daughter. The villa was beautiful. It has the charm of a Tuscan villa but all the modern amenities and I loved that every bedroom (but one) has its own en suite bath. The heated pool was terrific. It was cleaned every day and warm. We swam every day and night. The views were spectacular. The air so clean, and the stars at night were so bright. The hospitality manager Oliva was so nice and accommodating. We arrived to find a stocked fridge and anything else we needed, she quickly provided. Chef Alessio sent one of his chef’s to cook my birthday dinner the night we arrived and it was delicious. We had a 4 course meal with pasta prepared in front of us so we could see how it is made. We also had wine pairing and our waiter was very informative and friendly. The villa was beautifully situated close enough to many little towns to visit like Sienna, Pisa, Florence, etc. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back again. Once again thank you Oliva. 🙏🙏👍👍

A beautiful villa surrounded by vineyards in a great location!
We stayed at Casa Nozzole in June of 2019. The villa itself and the grounds it sits on are beautiful in every way. Originally when I booked the villa we had thought there would be more of us staying there but as it turned out we were only 4. Everything was sparkling clean and well kept and the kitchen well equipped. Upon arrival we were met by Oliva the house manager and she was a total delight! She gave us lots of helpful information regarding the surrounding area, ideas for restaurants, wine tastings etc. The house is just a 10 minute or less drive to Greve which is a small village but has everything you could possibly need. The drive to Florence is easy and not far to Siena or other surrounding areas. We arranged to have Chef Alessio come to the Villa one day for a cooking class and it was so much fun! He brought in all the ingredients needed and put us to work, then we sat down to a delicious dinner paired with wines that he had selected. We also arranged with Oliva to have a complimentary wine tasting at the Folonari winery on site. The young man who hosted the wine tasting was very well versed and informative of the Chianti Classico region. Upon returning to Tuscany we would absolutely be delighted to stay at the Casa Nozzole again or one of their other properties in the area, all of which are spectacular! Thank you again Oliva for making our stay so special!

A Tuscan Dream in Every Way
Where to begin? If your desire in Greve in Chianti is defined by a quiet property full of old-world Tuscan charm surrounded by lush landscape and beauty, this is it. A family of 8 adults, we had everything we needed and more, complete with several very happy birds every morning over caffe on the back patio. Olivia was wonderful! She coordinated our stay with easy communication and prompt responses. We had an issue early in our week-long visit with the oven not working which she had fixed immediately. The property was not only clean but also very comfortable. Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with milk, juice, coffee, olive oil and spices for cooking along with a beautiful loaf of bread and a huge selection of fruit so that we did not need to rush to the coop, allowing us to enjoy our stay upon arrival. The property is close and convenient to shops in Greve. We loved walking the vineyard and relaxing around the pool and beautiful grounds when we weren't taking advantage of nearby day excursions to Siena, San Gimingnano, and Montefioralle. Firenze is only 14 miles away and an hour-long bus ride if you don't want to drive and park (Please note you must catch the bus back at the bus station which is different than where you are dropped off. We learned this the hard way!) TIPS for your stay: 1. Ask Olivia to coordinate a tour and wine-tasting of Nozzole with Nic! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Wonderful! And DO buy their wine and olive oil. Both are incredible. 2. On their list of preferred providers is Chef Francesco who will provide a phenomenal cooking class and meal which you help prepare right on the property. We highly recommend this incredible experience. He and Patrisia made it a highlight of our stay! 3. Don't miss the Saturday market in the heart of Greve in Chianti. There is also a huge antiques market here once a year the Monday after Easter which we had to unfortunately miss as it was the day we left. 4. Most of all, do not miss our favorite restaurant of two trips to Italy now — La Castellana in Montefioralle. Family-owned and an exquisite dining experience! Olivia will be happy to book your reservation for you. We highly recommend this property and hope you love it as much as we did! Gratzie mille e arrivederci, Olivia and Nic!

Property and Villa are absolutely beautiful! Staff was wonderful to work with!
This entire property and experience is simply amazing! From the wonderful staff you get to work with, to the amazing views, this was one of the best places I have stayed. Ms. Oliva (Hospitality Manager) and her team were more than accommodating. They stayed late to meet us upon our arrival, and made sure my mother in law who has Multiple Sclerosis was more than comfortable! The pool is great, and the views from the backyard overlooking the vineyards never get old. We had 8 people with us and we had more than enough room in this villa! It is plenty big and very well kept! This place on top of the property’s hill off by itself, so the seclusion was nice! It only took us about 40-45 minutes to get into the heart of Florence as well! If you are looking for a great place to relax and enjoy yourself, I fully recommend staying here!

Well located beautiful farmhouse in the middle of Chianti with wonderful hosts
Peaceful and private location. Well designed house. Thoughtful arrangements from a welcoming fruit plate to a bottle of local wine to fully stocked bathrooms. Towels for swimming pool supplied. Prepare to be overwhelmed by the information on the surrounding towns and villages, as well as an extensive menu for in house cooking classes. Car required to enjoy the surrounding locations from Sienna to Volterra to Florence - all within an hour drive. Enjoy the local farmers'markets and wineries. Enjoy breakfasts and dinners on the outdoor terrace. Enjoy the views. Truffle hunt recommended for those interested to see the truffle hunt in action.

A Gem in the heart of Chianti!!!
The people that manage this property are truly professional. You couldn't ask for a better experience. The house is as nice in person as the pictures show. The amenities in the kitchen were all fine, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the grounds are breathtaking. The process beginning with Angela to make the reservation and continuing with Oliva who welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed, to Nick who provided an incredible tour of the winery (don't miss this!!) to Francesca Folonari (the owner) who also made sure our stay was memorable. All of these folks are just the best! Just a word to the Americans who are considering VRBO in Italy versus a hotel. This is an incredibly better option, but it's not the Marriott. When you stay at a beautiful, old villa like this you must be prepared to accept that fact. If you want the water pressure to be perfect all the time or you can't deal with the occasional ant, you should either stay home or find a Marriott! Thank you Angela, Oliva, Nick and Francesca for an exceptional visit to beautiful Tuscany!

Casa Vecchia Di Nozzole is a home run....
From the serenity of the location to the outstanding hospitality of Oliva, Nick and staff our family visit could not have been more fun and engaging. And of course the Chianti Classico was superb....
