Great stay
We had a great stay in this charming apartment. Montefioralle is beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the garden. We had a little trouble finding the apartment, but our host was available via WhatsApp to guide us and answer questions.

An Experience Like No Other
Staying in a castle in Montefioralle on the top of a vineyard, covered hillside goes down as one of the most unique and memorable experiences ever! If you love wine , Italian food and cultural experiences this is the place you need to be experience!💕

Beautiful Hilltop Location
The location cannot be beat in terms of view, authenticity, and location amidst many vineyards and the town of Greve. The apartment is basic—I would definitely not describe it as “luxury.” It is pretty spacious but not particularly cozy. The fireplace in the kitchen is pretty cool & we used it several nights —helped keep the mosquitos at bay! The garden is lovely, but again not particularly cozy as chairs were not very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with range of necessities if you are going to cook there. The bathroom is spacious—two sinks are great! Nice bathtub too. But the shower was riddled with mold around the edges and the towel warmers only work when the heat is on. The hamlet has a great wine tasting shop and a lovely restaurant, La Castella. Overall good value for money.

Out of a story book
This little town didn’t even seem real. It was the most romantic, quiet place that we stayed, filled with history and magic. We loved going down to the city of Greve too- truly wonderful. We loved staying here and hope to be back. Everything was super clean and perfect!

Tuscany wedding trip
The place was charming, cozy with beautiful patio . The cobblestone walkway to the house was the real feeling on walking in a small little town in Italy. We loved our stay. Be aware of the stairs going up to the house if you have many carry-ons. Stop at a market at Greve and buy food and water before going up to the property. There are no close by stores , only one or two places to eat but their operating hours are very short and limited space.

Wonderful experience
This was such a cool place to stay. The tiny little stone village of Montefioralle is picture-perfect, just a five-minute, hilltop loop around the church with fantastic views of the countryside. The apartment was actually pretty large and had everything we needed. The bathroom is very clean and modern, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I do wish we could have spent a few more days here. Just down the hill is the town of Greve. I would recommend going to town at least once, there are some great spots to eat and shop. The caretaker (Etsio?) was great, though he only speaks Italian, so it's a great opportunity to practice yours! He has a workshop right next door to the apartment, so it was very convenient. This location is very convenient to Florence or surrounding Tuscany, and I would definitely stay here again or recommend to friends.

Our stay in the apartment was wonderful! Fantastic location in this beautiful, tiny hill top town. Easy to access from parking, nice garden area to enjoy some wine and a great location to explore other areas.

Simply magical
The village of Montefioralle is an experience not to be missed, and we felt so fortunate to have been able to stay here. Danila and Paolo were great hosts! My only warning for other travelers is that the village may be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues.

Beautiful hill town stay
The property is a great location in the middle of Montefioralle which is a sleepy little hill town in Tuscany. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating to a couple requests we had. Lovely patio to spend some time or have a meal. Parking is available which is a big plus in August in Tuscany.

Magical Montefioralle
This beautiful apartment was everything we expected it to be, and the location was fantastic. We used it as a jumping-off point for several days in Tuscany, and its central location to places like Siena, San Gimignano, Panzano, and other small hillside villages was super convenient. There are several wineries nearby that offer tours and tastings including Castello di Verrazanno, which was our favorite. There are two restaurants within a very short walking distance, and we enjoyed both tremendously. I'm not sure how much the locals enjoyed having Americanos in the neighborhood for a few days, and we felt a bit unwelcome among them at times, which is not something we felt in other areas of Tuscany, but I wouldn't hesitate to return here. I do think if we had spoken the language we may have been able to connect with them in a more meaningful way. The truth is we left a bit puzzled by this, but we also know that being American carries some unfortunate stereotypes that we have to live with. On the other hand, maybe it was just our own sense of discomfort being strangers in a strange land. Visit this magical place, and stay in this beautiful apartment and you won't be sorry. If you are American please be a good ambaasador when you do!

Charming old property in an historic village
We had a wonderful 8 day stay in this very pretty property in a beautiful small village. The property has been very tastefully renovated and is well equipped with everything we needed. The garden is lovely. There are good restaurants within easy walking distance and the attractive town of Greve-in-Chianti is a 5 minute drive with good shops and a weekly market. We flew to Florence airport and hired a car from there, the property is only about an hour’s drive away. It is easy to get to Siena and San Gimignano through beautiful countryside on quiet roads. We also had a day trip to Arezzo and visited many hill top villages in the area. Recommend Panzano and Castellina in particular. Danila was very helpful and despite our complete lack of Italian we managed to understand the caretaker’s instructions on where to park and how everything worked! He was so patient with us! We plan to go back one day (and also to learn at least some basic Italian!) Wonderful holiday, thank you.

A Medieval Oasis
Our host, Danila, was very accommodating. The apartment is off of a beautiful garden vibrant with birds, bees & butterflies. With views looking down on the cobbled streets and peaking through the trees is the wonderful rolling countryside. There is a fully stocked kitchen and extra linens in the armoire. It was a joy to stay in this sweet hidden castle home in Greve in Chianti.

Gem in Chianti
I cannot say enough good about this property. The location is amazing. Top of the hill in town with beautiful views of the Gold Valley from the garden and windows. The apartment is very large and has a stately fireplace in the kitchen. The bedroom is huge with plenty of space around the king size bed. Their is also a large dressing room/walk-in closet that can accomodate a LOT of luggage. Parking for this kind of property is good AND included. The garden patio is a wonderful place to unwind, drink some wine and enjoy the vistas. If you want to visit Tuscany, this is your destination! The apartment itself is a destination! Thanks to Danila and Ezio for a wonderful experience. Wish we had more time, but we WILL be back!

Absolutely wonderful
We were only here 4 days but it was spectacular. The apartment was beautiful and every room was very large. We had a lot of space and privacy. The cobblestone streets were wonderful . A cafe a few steps away for danish for breakfast or sandwich for lunch and 2 wonderful restaurants for dinner within walking distance. If ever in this area again will definitely stay here

Birthday surprise
I booked a short stay for my wife and myself as a surprise for her 60th, Danila was most helpful throughout the booking process, offering recommendations for places to eat, the apartment is set in a very rural location, the nearest shop is in Greve about 1.5 miles away downhill, I would say a car is essential, parking is ok, a bit scarce at busy times but we managed to get parked every day, the wine tasting at Montefioralle is a must, very relaxed and nice wines, the restaurant La Castellena was superb we would recommend booking if you want an outside table, for a view Taverna Gurrino (no39) has a view over the vineyards. All in all I would recommend this accommodation if you are a couple looking for a quiet getaway.

Quaint. Cozy. Comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the tiny village of Montefioralle. The apartment is situated in the middle of the village with easy access to Greve. The local restaurants and winery are well worth visiting. The is also nicely situated between Sienna and Florence for easy day trips. The apartment was clean and had everything necessary to make a week stay comfortable. Romantic and relaxing.

A beautiful home and location!
Our stay in Danila’s home was wonderful. There was plenty of room for three of us. The house was spacious with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the location was perfect. We visited several wineries, enjoyed coffee and pastries at the nearby cafe and had lunch at the restaurant just around the corner where the food was delicious and the view spectacular. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing experience and would not hesitate to stay again.

More than we expected!
Ever wonder what it is like living in a Tuscan hilltop village? This apartment delivers the whole experience. The living space is comfortable, well appointed and large. Dining in the private garden with its variety of flowers, fruits and extended grape arbor is a pleasure. The neighbors and local caretaker are delightful, even though our Italian is terrible. The village of Montefioralle itself is small, but it boasts two restaurants serving lunch and dinner, a bar for coffee in the morning and drinks later in the evening, a local winery (reservations required for tasting) and a place that offers Tuscan cooking classes! Shopping for practically everything else is only 1.5 km away in Greve. Over the past 15 years, we have had the opportunity to stay in some really unique and beautiful places in Italy and this apartment just joined our list of favorites.

Our stay in Montefioralle
We had a wonderful week in this very clean & spacious apartment much larger than it seems on the website. The views were superb as you walked under the vines to reach the front door. The village of Montefioralle was a bonus as we hadn’t heard of it before. Walking around the cobblestone streets was heaven. A newly opened restaurant, Il Guerrino, was terrific, again with views over the vineyards. Danilo was lovely & any queries instantly dealt with. Very sad to leave this peaceful place.

Simply amazing
The apartment is very clean and well equipped. The views of the Tuscan country side is breathtaking. Danila was very prompt in responding to questions prior to booking and remained that way until we checked out. The apartment was easy to find and Check in and out was very easy. We had an issue with the water one morning and called Danila and it was fixed in minutes. We had an incredible time and highly recommend this apartment.
