This is the traditional Swiss hotel experience we were looking for and the views were outstanding. It’s a great hotel and the staff were very helpful.

I read some of the reviews and was a bit worried as some people complained on the breakfast, size of room, and location near the train. I have nothing but great things to say about the hotel. Yes, it is right next to the train! The breakfast has so many options, I could tell that everything was fresh. The eggs were delicious! The people working there from the front desk to the restaurant, and the cleaning staff were all polite and friendly/helpful.

It was amazing staying at the Derby - so close to the train station, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was gorgeous. Plus all of the amenities we got from staying here - so worth it :D

Perfect Stay
It was right in front of the train station and steps away from the bus station. Everything was perfect! Front desk lady was really friendly and even help check the weather for us before we went up to Jungfraujoch. Breakfast was good. The view from our room was spectacular. It is an older hotel so you can hear some squeaking when you walk but that didn’t bother us. I would stay again.

Property was excellent value for convenience to everything around Grindelwald. Outstanding breakfast was included. Ate at the attached restaurant twice for dinner and it was excellent both times. I would highly recommend this property especially for those seeking easy travel convince.
