The place is located in a quiet suburban type location in Guadalajara. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is older and it needs some deep cleaning. Plaza del Sol is walking distance to get food or some shopping. Unfortunately, $200.00 were stolen from my wallet. That was so disappointed. I called the hotel and explained that this had occurred, hotel staff heard me and stated "that has never happened" I didnt want to argue and so I just made clear that I would not stay there again. Partially I take responsibility of trusting that a hotel in a better location; would be a place where I could leave my money 1x when I went to a party. Again this was so disappointing to have that experience.

Pros. Charming and cozy place. Staff is very attentive and nice, they go out of their way to nake you feel welcomed. Nearby restaurants and shops. Sencond time staying here and will be back. Cons. Room was a little outdated, could use some attention to detail ( entry door hard to close because it drags on floor, a/c has some broken vents but it works fine, shiwer door is a bit narrow and water gets out making floor slippery) all real minor things just being critical. Pillows do need to be upgraded, that would be my only true complaint.

Big room. Excellent breakfast. Vintage decor. I like the location. Safe entry and parking. The coffee pot doesnt work and is confusing. Not hot water (even after i told the girl). Moldy windows in the shower. Solid 3 stars. Not sure where the 9.2 reviews come from. It was just ok. The hot water failure is abhuge issue for me. As we drove away, my wife said she is happy to not return.

I spoke to several staff requesting they hold onto 2 pieces of luggage. All of them said it would be no problem. Then when it was time to leave my bags, they said that it wasn’t possible. I was told it was a storage room and easy to do prior. Not sure what changed overnight.

An excellent hidden gem in a residential area
Everyone was extremely helpful. From both of the women at the front desk Karina and Isa, to both of the men that service the restaurant and do it all Ramon and Fernando. The lady that cooks Rocío was also excellent, great cook such yummy food 😋 and extremely friendly. I had my choice of being able to stay with my many friends and relatives in Guadalajara but I’m glad I was able to find this little gem. A little warning though, the beds are a bit hard so expect that from the get go but other than that everything was great 😊

The staff if super friendly. Amazing place but the only issues are the bed is a little on the firm side for my back and slow drain issues in the shower but that’s a common issue in the area. I would recommend this hotel

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 15 years, I travel at least 3 times a year to visit family and friends. For me it is a convenient location to access the main city streets and state roads. The hotel personnel has been always very helpful with taxi o share drive needs. I fully recommend for families o solo travelers.

Staff at La Misión del Sol was very helpful. The breakfast was devious, prepared fast and the waiter super attentive!! Staff at the front desk is also very helpful and getting transportation to help you get around Guadalajara
