No estaban funcionando como hotel. Me hicieron perder el tiempo
1. Cockroaches.
2. The Concierge was supposed to insure that my son
s airport shuttle had him to the airport by 16:00 hours. THEY DIDN"T EVENT CALL THE SHUTTLE UNTIL 16:00 HOURS.
As a result my son missed his flight and is STUCK in guatemala for 4 days.
Family trip to Guatemala, i reserved 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 kids, picked the hotel as is a good neighborhood, the rate and the free breakfast. The manager refused to give us the 4 breakfast as he said the hotel only received confirmation for 2 adults even when i showed him and forwarded the email confirmation from Expedia, he wanted me to pay $32 for each of the kids and one of them is only 2 years old.
The room has a lot of humidity, the baby and i got a cough, my wife got a cold.
The elevator was partially working, had to wait for someone on the staff to move it up and down.
Not what you expect on a $98 room hotel.
The staff is nice and helpful, but that is the best thing about this hotel. We found two roaches in our room as soon as we walked in and two very long hairs in the sheets!! The manager gave us a different room, but not a good experience.
The best of this hotel is their staff very friendly, I need it a refrigerator urgently to save breastfeeding milk and they look for one in a rush. The best of the hotel is that they solve your needs, they recommend a taxi driver name Yovani who took me everywhere and wait it for me in each meeting, ask for him at the hotel in your next visit.

Small rooms decor is old
For the price it's expensive for what it is ! Cold water in basin, so shaved in cold water. Tried to bring s friend of mine in the room , night guard would not allow , had a present to give her , had to go up and get it! Put my friend in an awkward position !!!
Not happy !!!

We had a great night at this hotel before our return flight. The restaurant was great as well. They served delicious crepes. The shuttle was very helpful.
Very poor, dark hotel.. actually INN.. It is not near the expectations.. Very dark, old building with smell in rooms with poor staff service.. No pick up at late hours from airport and no notification of the same... Overall.. Suggest a BIG NO to this hotel. They refused to cancel or change my stay and since I had already paid in advance... I was stuck with them for 4 nights... Horrible.
We arrived later in the evening and were served well. ( I called ahead to warn them and request an early shuttle to airport.) We left to early for breakfast, but they made sure we had three cups of coffee for the road. We'll use this hotel again without hesitation.
The stay was excellent, the front staff was vey courteous. The beds were a little hard for my likens but that was the worst of it. Stayed in the same hotel 3 times and each time was very nice. The only real complaint are the taxi services we had one honest out of the bunch, he told us the minimum for a short ride in which we did would be 25Q..the rest charged us 35-40Q.
We took a tour of Guatemala and drove all over the country for a week and stayed every night in a different hotel. I didn't feel good about it all until we made it to this hotel. It was clean modern and comfortable. By all means stay at this hotel!!
We were a group of 4 and we were expecting to share beds, but for our surprise the room had 4 beds, so we sleep comfortably. Everything seems clean, but we found an intimate piece of cloth from somebody else, which gives indication that it wasn't cleaned properly. The staff and the restaurant were very good.
Despite many emails and phone calls from Expedia, the Hotel still forgot to pick me at the Airport -- being a single, disable femal who do not speak Spanish @ Midnight-- you ca imagine my horror.
To add insults to injuries, the hotel gave me a smoking room with a broken window (after many phone calls and emails requesting that this need to be non-smoking )
Needless to say, I was sleepless for the night from the banging of the broken window, and was sick from the filthy foul smelling room.
Shame on you Howard Johnson Guatemala City!!!
In conclusion, DO NOT STAY here, and if you have to, absolutely refuse to take room 313 and 309!! What a damp!
We were very impressed with the staff who were friendly and helpful in spite of our lack of Spanish. The beds were comfy and lots of hot water in the shower. Because we had to leave early in the morning before breakfast, the staff was kind enough to provide us with a large container of fresh fruit and hot coffee to take with us. We would definitely stay there again if ever in Guatemala.

Bad experience
Bad experience, I would not recommend this hotel to any one, stay here only if you have no option.
The hotel is in bad shape, with micro elevator that fits two people, manamgement acts as if they are have charged you a small anount of money for the stay.
